My mum works in healthcare. She said in 2009 circa 480 people died from swine flu and no sports were cancelled. Many thousands died worldwide however this pandemic seems to be much more critical and scary for the world? Why? One theory my brother proposed is that in 2009 we had globalists running the world's agenda. Since then populism has taken over with trump, brexit and other countries showing the same tendencies in voting. The media and left are strong advocates of the globalist agenda and are using fear to try and bring governments to their knees. Climate change is not too dissimilar in that it has been weponised by the left anti capitalist brigade to create fear I.e. 20 years before the end of life as we know it. Nothing controls behaviours of humans like fear does.

Maybe lay off the infowars theories.

It is only a matter of time, IMO, unfortunately. I saw an article about how someone in Japan has caught it for the second time.

Most experts believe this is an extremely rare occurrence and most individuals will build natural immunity

If you believe that then you need to have a rethink, millions and millions will have or of had it..... remember nearly 800 confirmed here however the government said its more likely 5-10k
Yeah it’s weird that some people seem to think that China has been completely honest with its statistics as well.

The situation there has likely been, and is much, much worse.

Wow. I wondered how long it’d be before someone blamed ‘the left’.

Ahhh so you’re now trusting experts haha

Well people who are studying this every minute of every day you assume will have a better understanding of its likely development wouldn’t you? These aren’t economists these are scientists whose job is to analyse such things

Ahh so you’re picking and choosing which ones to believe to back up your own viewpoint and discarding the others.
Interesting.

If they’re the ones Cummings and BJ listen to. Any others are still ignored.

Yes, it will be more, just as so few of us are tested for influenza. But plucking guesses and statements out of the air is just ridiculous.

Interesting.

Not really I’m not aware of any who are actually studying the virus believe there is no immunisation impact.

So Boris and his advisers might be right?

lol- this all makes great reading as people juggle semantics to try and pretend Boris and the “experts” were right all along. Unfortunately their failed experiment shows otherwise. The rest of the world was right, they weren’t.

So you now disagree with what you have said?

The role of the immune system is to prevent future infections by the same pathogen, and it works in the HUGE majority of cases, but there will always be the exceptions - like the HANDFUL of people who have repeated chickenpox infection into adulthood. Of course, that doesn't take account of when the virus mutates in a way which will deceive the immune system (i.e. a specific mutation in one of two or three genes in the whole virus genome). There is NO evidence thus far that this coronavirus has any greater mutation rate than others in the family, and NO evidence that there are mutated strains in circulation.
Having said that, this is the problem with developing vaccines for the common cold (may of which are also caused by coronaviruses). They have pretty much given up doing so because EVERYONE will get them and it's impractical to vaccinate the entire population for a disease that really isn't very harmful. Influenza vaccines are given to millions every year, and apparently there is a degree of immunity in the population - and yet it still kills (as a rough average) 8000 people in England every year from its complications.
It doesn't really matter how many cases of COVID19 there are in the UK - we should be encouraged that as few as 11 have died - it IS important to keep the vulnerable out of harm's way, but we can't protect everyone.

Mate. Have some time offline. Maybe a cup of tea. You've gone full mental. Never go full mental.

I only just got up and the hangover is a bit terrifying, suspected catching up on here would be entertaining when I finally got out of my pit, it hasn’t disappointed.

honestly? No not terrified, tbh a bit tired of it all now, in the same boat as lots of others by having older parents but I’m too sick of it to be afraid. Looking forward to the aggro on here at some point :)

it’s just good to see that the ‘experts’ have realised that social engineering shouldn’t be their priority and the safety of the population should be, not the time to be carrying out experiments. There was never any doubt Boris would bend and crack soon as he thought people might not like him for something.

Pretty reasonable analysis
Also social media wasn't around to anything like the extent it is now in 2009

I don’t know what to think, apart from there is no metric anywhere that doesn’t have us promoted if they allow movement between divisions. Everything so vague.

Not sure if this option has been mentioned but what about teams like us and Liverpool, where any metric you applied would have us winning the league, we’re crowned champions and anyone where there is contention just stay where they are?

Everyone option has somebody losing out and arguing about it so what if season is declared void except for those teams where it’s undeniable that they would go up or win league no matter what model you applied.

well I don’t know but how can you compare us to Liverpool? Leeds and WBA are equally as likely to get promoted as we are if not more so.
