Ok lets deal with this crap right off the bat. The Bolton performance was off the back of 2 very good performances, and by and large we play good football, and when we don’t we can still grind out a result. We don’t play like they did tonight.

They play like that every week.

Comprende? Now move along.

They grind out results so do we. Have you been watching them all season? Either it's all about the result or it's not brah

Yup think you're right with Burge that'd have been 0-1 or 0-2

Not according to PVA I’m sure

And we have O Hare and Walsh who seem to possess a refill gas tank - they never stop working and moving and O Hare van and often does create something from nothing

Apart from the one goal we scored and the nil goals they scored, yep it was a total lockout by them wasn’t it.

Give it up ;)

They switched off at the throw in and Godden took a great instinctive finish. Rest of the time the forwards were kept quiet and we were penned in or struggling to keep possession. But here you are going back to the result defining what's good while calling a team in great form a shit one

I really don't give a toss about how well we played, how well Pompey played, did we have the right formation, were our lads tired, was the soup cold at half time, blah, blah fuckin' blah!
WE WON! And we're on our way OUTTA THIS SHIT LEAGUE!!!!

O'Hare still flying around the pitch with a bandage round his head, it's like a significantly more talented Terry Butcher

I was one of the "take a point brigade" before, so pleased we got the win, we've seen it go wrong so many times in the past but i don't think this team ever give up. Well worth the journey over and home by half ten,
"And now you're gonna believe uuuuuus
We're going to win the league"

I doubt they play like that every week - they set up to kill our wing backs and did for the most part. McCallum couldn’t cope at all

Comparison to Bolton is silly. They looked like a pub side - some players really looked hopelessly out their depth

I was getting irritated with people near me slagging O Hare as he’s a seriously good player at this level and changes games

As we all know, some of our fans slag off players unnecessarily ! He’s a brave young lad, works his arse off and has got that little bit of magic, but I’ve got to be honest, I thought he struggled in patches tonight (and was actually surprised when Allen was taken off - That’s why Robins does what he does and I’m typing messages on a forum at 1050pm !)

Great ball for goal though (the throw and finish also quality)

He wins loads of feee kicks and he always gets back and forward - he literally never stops running

They also did the little things like sitting on the edge of the box to prevent Marosi playing out from goal kicks. Other sides know how we're going to set up but thankfully we execute the plan well enough regardless

Robins came out and praised both the wingbacks. Discuss.

A few on here definitely disagree.

For much of the second half they had us under control and were effective at creating good chances. Not going to labour the point but they're not a shit side

Big difference is that now I watch us under the cosh for 20 mins and expect us to weather the storm, it wasn't long ago when we would have invited that pressure on until they scored.

Ah come on, stop telling lies :) The words were that they are very effective and will win a lot playing that way, but easy on the eye they are certainly not. I don’t know if you’re still butt hurt from the weekend or what, but I’m done with this flawed nonsense.

It's just odd that he banged on for hours after the Bolton game about the win mattering more than the performance then he goes calling a team that's won 9 in a row 'effective but crap'
Surely a contradiction in terms. They're effective yet unattractive to watch is what I'd say. I still think they might have a say in the autos as they are one of the better sides we've played.

Surprise surprise, here is super fan yet again to leap on everyone whose posts aren't filled with 100% fawning praise.

For the record if you check my posts from tonight they were largely positive and reflect the game quite well, but of course, you'll just jump on something and run with it as per.
I was going to check your posts, but then I got to that garbage chart thing saying that we’re going to come below Accrington in the table and reconsidered.

Allen seems to offer something different to O'Hare - holds the ball very well with his back to goal and makes time for support to come into play.

They’re effective yet unattractive is exactly my point as well, he doesn’t grasp it though.

Thanks for telling that you have no idea what you're talking about or what that table actually means. A surprise from a self-proclaimed footballing genius seeing as it's pretty simple but we can't all be perfect.

Also if you'd got to that post you'd have seen all most posts from tonight seeing as I posted that yesterday. Top work on that one, solid post.

The table is rubbish.

When he brought godden on I was baffled, he looked much sharper though so the rest has done him good.
Agreed, he showed once again why he’s still the best striker we’ve got. All it takes is one chance to score, with the other 2 they need at least 3-4 in most games. Don’t get me wrong they’re both good options to have off the bench, but when Godden’s on form he’s on another level.

Wow! Bit of a chess match that-fair play to Pompey who deserved a point and stopped us playing. A bit of a smash and grab that we are on the right end of for a change.
They commited 15 fouls to our 1.
And that's not counting all those the ref missed.
So they didn't deserve a point.

FFS does no-one understand the word "Squad"
How many points have we taken with subs so far?
