What a misleading statement, why are the Trust randomly piping up now?

There must have been some stirrings about Wasps....

he group has revealed details of Coventry City Council meetings with land agents of the football club/ SISU to provide pre-application advice in respect on one site but, as a result of potential difficulties, has since suggested three alternatives that the club’s owners might want to consider.

Remember when Maton suggested the site that already had houses on it?

Also, will the Trust publish the responses from the council or just go straight to the telegraph with their spin on it who also add their spin?

I'm assuming 2 of them are Woodlands and Brandon

Can Cov Council suggest Brandon if it's outside of their remit?

Maybe that's why they have appointed independent planners?

No, they are just using planners who haven't been involved in the litigation. It's spin.

Look forward to the Trust releasing the full Q and A.

It's a poor attempt at a couple of Council and Wasps puppets to divert the attention from them. Is it just coincidence that this comes on a day when action against Wasps is featured on BBC news?

I'm not sure I necessarily believe that tbf. I doubt very much that all is rosy in the Wasps / Council relationship given their various acts since 2014.

It'll just be the same as last year except SISU can't use the council being difficult as an excuse. Apparently.

Just a massive coincidence they are published today after the Telegraph has seemed to ignore everything they can about the Wasps stuff?

It's a bit too obvious.

Reading through it, it isn't actually news is it?

The only thing is that SISU have put a site forward (Woodlands) and the Council have suggested a couple of other sites. Also another Thanks to Wasps from the Trust.

What else is new in that?

Was the meeting a chance encounter?

It must have been, just like how it just happens to be published today while Wasps are coming in for a bit of stick and CJ seems to "know nothing about it".

Why didn't the Trust just publish the Q&A on their site rather than run to the Telegraph for it to be portrayed in a certain way?

No, it isn't really news. It seems to be a self-promotion piece from the Trust tbh "Look what we're doing, about [insert overly emotive language]"

That said, it is time that pressure is put on SISU about their plans for a new stadium in the absence of any movement from Wasps. I can't remember when the news about Woodlands came out but it was a long while ago, nothing has happened since.

Of course but the pressure should be done properly to try and get answers rather than for other reasons....

It doesn't actually say anything new, it just bigs up the Council and Wasps.

Surely the Trust would have just posted up the Q+A on their site so people can read and make a judgment?

Better to publicise it to the Mirror group and make it seem bigger than it actually is.

The whole thing is a bit mixed up really, as it goes from talking about identifying sites for a new stadium to a return to the Ricoh. The potential new stadium has nothing to do with Wasps so not sure why they're referenced in the article. Probably just piss poor writing than any particular plan.

I doubt very much the club's owners will engage with the Trust any time soon.

Because it's trying to put across that Wasps and the Council love the football club and are doing everything to help.

It will be followed up with "CCFC and SISU failed to speak to us" BOOOOO

Don't know about you but I'll be at Sunderland on Saturday. Couldn't even tell you when Wasps are playing.

Sky Blue Trust/CCC can’t: organise a piss up in a brewery

Sky Blue Trust/CCC can: organise an elaborate conspiracy taking in long time fans and the entire media bar Les Reid and keep it secret across board members/leaders
