I’m confident of a victory today.

Westbrooke isn’t Bayliss, but he’s more than capable of picking a pass and is creative in that sense. I was impressed with the snippets we saw of him last year. Shipley looks a lot better player in the middle, his passing can be frustrating at times, but I’ve always thought he looks good technically and is easily good enough for L1. The midfield isn’t as strong as it would be with Bayliss and Allen, but it isn’t as weak as is being made out either.

Increasing frustrated by the negativity on here.

Unfortunately I’m on my way to hospital for an emergency scan and monitor of our baby, so I’m missing the game today. I’ll be reliant on here for updates throughout. Puts the negativity into perspective too.

Looks poor that starting line up, in for a long season. 1-0 loss, 0 shots on target.

Poor starting line up, and only Biamou as a recognised first team forward line.

We cant afford any more injuries to the midfield or forward line.

Too right, quite strange when we can all guess the team before 2pm on the first day of the season.

Joking aside I’m actually pretty excited, feeling the new season buzz. Not ideal surroundings but football is back and that’s what’s important!

Something of an away buzz around the ground and in the bars. Queues aside I do hope we are crammed in and an atmosphere might get going. Asked the bouncer in the pub and he said that 50% of staff are Cov employees. So not all out of a job at least! PUSB.
