It is far easier to be more pessimistic towards your own team and think that other teams have done great business, but I'm sure other teams would see the signings of McFazdean and Allen and Kastaneer and think we have done good business and be up there.

The only reason people aren't backing Coventry is because we are at St Andrews, forgetting the ricoh pitch was a contributing factor to poor home form and us missing out on playoffs

What IF, while playing on a better pitch, we still lose games that we had chance after chance of winning. What will be the new excuse?

All I'm saying is,Alot of this squad never played at the ricoh, so it won't make any difference to them where we play.

The fact is people( because that's what bookies odds are based on) are not backing Coventry because we are at St Andrews, people aren't putting money on us, means nothing...

Not because we've lost some of our best performers from last year then? We don't score many yet we've let our 2nd and 3rd top scorer go, albeit Bright's loan ended.

I just don’t buy this pitch thing, is all.

People make the market. Not the bookies, the ricoh move has stopped people putting money on us

Not true. Sir Paddy Power himself decrees the odds at the international bookies convention on a triple decker yacht just behind the Guinness factory.

Some fairly harsh talk on their website - we may be playing at Brum but we have ambition with MR - Lincoln is in the middle of the North sea

Funny that Forest are playing Lincoln tonight, hope that the atmosphere don't turn his head

I usually put on a relegation and top 7 (or 6, or, 4!) accumulator for the PL-L2. Wondering what eight teams to pick this season.

Don’t get me wrong, I won’t deny the Ricoh pitch had seen better days - I just don’t think it had as much part to play as people say.
It had a big effect on trying to play a passing game (especially trying to use the full backs, and across the middle of the park)

Style of play etc no, it's nonsense to suggest a shit pitch doesn't effect a team who like to play nice football

agree with that. In the same way, its nonsense to suggest a team not playing at home with a biased crowd doesn't affect a team

Bookies have us way down below Lincoln and they’re rarely too far off the mark.
if i put £1000 bet on CCFC to win the league our odds would be dramatically increased lets say 20/1 to 10/1
