There is a bloke called @kissimmeefrank on Twitter who is tends to defend SISU against some of the more hysterical accusations

The thing is, even though he is pretty much OTT with all that crap at least he bothers with the club which is more than can be said for a lot of them. Isn't he involved with the walking football and former players etc etc?

Compare that to the Roger Ellis types along with those strange accounts.

Saw on Facebook that someone is linking the secretary of the trust to the Rochdale grooming gang cover up..... fake news or is this known??

Yeah I’ve been sent that. If you look at the page when you ask to join it states that users can’t upload other peoples posts yet they’ve happily uploaded any picture as their banner and I’m not even on Facebook myself

Keep up the good work on twitter! Had a few exchanges with CW and John Stretton....Both resulting in them insulting me! Lol... struggle with the time to keep replying like you do!
Also had exchanges with trust account regarding lack of pressure on all sides.
Really interesting the position some of them have/have had(Allegedly) and how they are using it...
Keep it up!!
CW loves to bring Tim Fishers elves and fairies in to every debate he's losing. And Stratton the same with the JR. Pair of clowns them 2.

Have the Trust distanced them from those accounts yet or are they still retweeting them?

They can't say I didn't try to warn them how it would end up making them look bad.

Maybe they should listen to actual fans rather than Roger Ellis and David Johnson?

Think the secretary appointment will be the deathknell for them

It isn't a new appointment is it? He's been involved for ages.

This issue has been pointed out already and ignored.

They don't give a shit, the same as when I pointed out about those strange social media accounts and how they should distance themselves ASAP. Now everybody can see those social media accounts for what they are and link the trust with them it looks bad on them.

We all know the trust members have wasps season tickets for the upcoming season, it was the round of applause that did it

How is this only now all over the Facebook forum when I've seen it mentioned on here for months if not years? People are acting like it's breaking news.

There is real doublethink going on about the trust on the Facebook group. Ellis has been involved for ages but because the members were focusing on sisu it wasn’t an issue but now many accept other parties are at fault they are getting tangled up about something that’s been the case for ages.

Don’t get me wrong I’m happy the trust are getting it as they’ve been far too shot for far too long but it just shows how easily people are swayed by a few statements.

See there’s more controversy as someone on fb has started to ask questions abt this.

Trust board member (I believe he’s still Secretary) Roger Ellis description as “recently retired after 19 years as a local authority Chief Executive and works as a self-employed photographer and management consultant” seems to obscure more than it reveals.

His “recent retirement” is explained in this 2013 article. Council boss in charge at time of Rochdale child sex grooming scandal 'should pay back £80,000 payoff', MPs say | Daily Mail Online
What I think is fair to say at this case (and what should be the criteria for judging whether he's fit to be a board member) is that the story in this instance is about operational procedures, and it by no means implicates him in the scandal directly. It's more an argument that as head of the organisation, he should have been more aware of what was going on. It's a sin of omission.

Sure that's obvious, but should be emphasised!

Yeah it's not new news. He's been involved for years.

I think people might have seen the list of names put forward from the board and got it from there or something?

People have been too busy with the "at least they are doing something" nonsense when anything has been pointed out previously.

Ironic really when board members in the trust don't seem to have a clue about fellow board members.

Trust response to Tim Fisher
Poll: The trust - fit for purpose?

It was played down / ignored the same as when I have also pointed things out. They don't give a shit, they will just try and bullshit their way out of it.

TBF, it's the same thing that annoys me about various parties in this story, the focus is too often on individuals and not the issues at hand. The Trust, for example, has constantly focused on Fisher or Seppalla without thinking that eventually that approach rebounds.

Yeah, happy to accept that cuts both ways. it's the same as when there was the campaign to remove Richardson - we still had McGinnity and Robinson there, after all!

It looks like the appointments still have to be approved by the AGM

Election of Board members, 2019
By the closing date for nominations, 22 June 2019, six valid nominations for vacant positions on the Board of the Trust had been received, from:
Dave Eyles
Andy Fletcher
David Johnson
CJ Joiner
Tim Kalns
Neil White
As there are six vacancies, each of the candidates nominated will be proposed to be elected to the Board by the AGM on Monday 15 July 2019.

I don't know what would happen if the members who attend vote against any of them.

I just assumed it was common knowledge?
It might be part of the reason lies Reid and the others obsess about putting yourself and skybluestalk in general down on social media. A lot of facts on here such as Ellis and the takeover attempt were brought out into the light fairly early. Trust members may well read the posts, then get on twitter trying to discredit the source with their parody and faceless accounts. The fanbase seems to be catching up and catching on though now.

That's exactly why they do it, they hope that nobody will listen because they make out people on here work for SISU etc.

Is there not a way for the vast majority of trust members to vote then?

I guess that suggestion was also ignored. Wonder why?

The funniest thing is, none of you can actually see it and think you all do a great job patting each other on the back and cuddling Blackpool fans.
