I'd give anything to see us reach the play-offs but realistically, it ain't gonna happen. And even if by some miracle we made them, would we get promoted? I doubt it. The teams above us would be a struggle to beat so I'm quite happy to see us get ready for next season's push. I seriously believe that with Robins at the helm we will be a top two team and won't even need the play-offs. There. I've laid my cards on the table!

We should beat Shrewsbury and I think Oxford will beat Doncaster but Peterborough will be the ones to deny us.
I think the final game will be meaningless as it will already be decided.

That means they will have beaten Walsall away AND got a point at Pompey midweek. Not a certainty by any means?

Totally agree,. We would struggle big time in the Championship without big backup at the moment. Hopefully in 12 mths we'll be in a stronger position cash wise to push on.

The 3 in the play offs above us/Donny/Peterborough will most likely be Sunderland, Charlton and Barnsley.....Our record against these teams this season is 4 wins 2 draws, unbeaten, and arguably we should’ve won the 2 draws.
It’s a load of rubbish that we’d struggle to beat these teams, we’ve played much better against the better sides this season.

Have some fkin faith in the players and manager, if we were to sneak in by some miracle.

If we did go up we could hang onto Willis bright Thomas and Sterling. Hyam mason Kelly bayliss and jordi I feel could do a job in the championship?

Willis bright Hyam Melly Bayliss would be a good core of the squad to at least keep the team in the championship. Hope and pray for Callum Wilson money and who knows...

Why would we struggle in the championship ? that was said this time last year by plenty on here about division one. We have some very good young players here, squad needs adding to obviously and probably with older more experienced players. But are Ipswich, Bolton and Rotherham better than us ? Or are any of the top six in our league that includes Luton. I’d say we can match at the very least all of those.

Why are you using those 3 as an example? 2 are relegated and the other one likely to be!
League 2 to League 1 is less of a jump in quality (and money) then it is from League 1 to Championship. I’d say that L1 to Champ is now like the jump in quality it used to be for Champ to Prem.

That is why I used them as an example finishing better than them we stay up. Until we get to the top ten I don’t fear any in that division to be honest and looking at your reply why bother at all, let’s just stay where we are

Our attendances would be up several thousand in The Championship. Much larger away followings visiting The Ricoh, plus extra home support. Plus extra TV, etc.

It would still be struggling. I’m just pointing that out. I’d take going up, obviously.

Burge dare say will be gone in the summer but you can't swap him with 2 games to go, especially if there is still hope. Can't put that much pressure on someone coming in, knowing how much is riding on it and he's not in on merit but because the other bloke can't be trusted.

We've had one top six finish since time began. Rather get promoted now and struggle next season fighting relegation with teams who are out of form, than promotion contenders who are doing well.

If after todays results the play offs are no longer a possibility then drop the loan players, drop the out of contract players and bring in the fringe players and see what they got. Give Ponticelli a start for example.

No dropping Bright (especially if he may sign!)

The obsession with ponticelli on here is beyond wierd. Never done anything to prove he is worth a shot yet this place sees something completely different

I said for example. I know nothing about any obsession re any of the squad players.
Under the example I would drop Burge and Sterling, give Brown a game and so on....

Aye. I can't see what the clamour is either, hope he proves me wrong but why on earth would he play when there are 3 strikers who are here next season and are better than him.

I've noticed the obsession is usually from people who probably haven't ever seen him and rely on the hype from a few years ago.

On the basis that realistic chances of the POs are gone now, I'd like to see us only select those players who are likely to be with us next season. It's time to give some of the younger faces a run-out, to see what they can do. No harm in it.

Where did I say I don't have faith in the players and manager? Read posts properly before spouting shit, Pal!

Well you’ve said you think we’ll struggle to beat teams against whom our record is 4 wins 2 draw this season. Sorry, it appears you’re in fact you’re full of faith, Pal!
