They're not 'disenfranchised' if they're allowed to vote in the country where they currently live and work.

Which we are not, unless we take up citizenship of another country. To do this in some countries, such as Holland, you have to give up British citizenship. In Germany you cannot get citizenship until after 8 years and you have to fulfill criteria to do so.

BoJo has also been bashing the EU for years. Sacked twice already for lying as a journalist and now caught lying again: Boris Johnson's no-deal Brexit claim was inaccurate, official watchdog rules

Most likely next Conservative leader.

You can’t make this up. ( well you could if you were BoJo )

Johnson has always been pro Eu - everyone knows his “conversion” was just to create a persona to develop popularity amongst the grass roots members

You seem to make it up as you go along

he's an ex banker who rubs shoulders with trump yet has managed to paint himself as anti elite.
Anti EU though has his snout in their trough.
Takes a tough stance on immigration while living abroad.

Anyone that duplicitous who still garners support must have something about them, though to me he'll always be a raging c**t.

He was actually a commodities trader and has mates in this area, who he helped to make millions by currency trading at the Brexit vote by claiming that leave had lost, knowing that leave had probably won according to the private polling outside polling stations paid for by his mate‘s hedge fund.

Funnily enough, a lot of Tory donors are involved in some way with commodity trading and/ or hedge funds. Far removed from Farage‘s Brexit target audience of „ordinary decent British folk“.

Follow me, I‘m the Pied Piper as the song goes. If it Brexit turns Trumpian, e.g. 60 of the biggest USA companies now pay no corporation tax owing to the Trump tax form allowing get-outs and reducing corporation tax to 21%. Many even claim more back than they pay. The lie that less tax means more revenue has been shown as a lie. The richest get will richer and poorer can work for peanuts.

Tax breaks for the rich and deregulation is what lies behind the ERG and Brexit Party motives for Brexit. And Farage is on the side of Trumpian economics.

Even getting Rees Mogg‘s sister on board to fight the elite. And people still cheer him on. Amazing.

He has been slagging the EU for years. The bendy bananas and his reporting from Brussels years ago. Yes, he has also written pro EU things and even lobbied for Turkey joining the EU. But, he is most known for his anti EU lies. He is a classic opportunist. No surprise he is so popular with he Tories.

No I haven’t in 2016 he was babbling on about staying in the single market and it’s wonderful benefits

Why lie all the time - you are as bad as Johnson

I said he has been anti EU as a journalist for decades. He still is. He has moved backwards and forwards at times, when it suited ( e.g. as Mayor of London), but he is more famous for the anti EU times which go back to his journalist days in the 90s. False reporting then. False reporting now. Read my links.

I don’t deny he has written pro EU things at times. But, he is despicable opportunist, and I hope that even you won’t try and stick up for him on that.

You said he has always been pro EU. He hasn’t in his writings. That which influences people. I just linked in to his journalist history in the 90s, and you call me a liar. You are just lying because it doesn’t suit your POV.

Funny then, that such despicable beings get selected by the Tory party rather than, say, a pro EU party like the Libdems. Must be something in these qualities that Tories like yourself like.

Not really as Brussels is a far right version of a Tory institution as well - it’s the epitome of all that is bad about conservatism

If we stay in the EU labour MEPs ( calculated at the current EU polling ) would swing the balance of power in the EU Parliament to centre left from centre right. Let’s both hope we stay in then.

I see the Brexit party have broken away the far right then ( or perhaps not ):
„Speaking earlier on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Farage described the departure of two founding officials over Islamophobic or racist tweets as “teething problems” and said the party would be “deeply intolerant of all forms of intolerance”.

It emerged later that one of the candidates announced, Mummery, has re-tweeted a message from a far-right account on Twitter. Her timeline showed that last week Mummery forwarded a message about the EU from an account called Active Patriot UK, the profile picture for which shows someone in a paramilitary-style balaclava in front of an English flag.

The account strongly backs the anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson. Among other tweets from the account is a video of Paul Golding, leader of the banned far-right group Britain First, and a misogynistic joke about a female newspaper reporter“

Seems about par for the course for Brexit fans.

Meanwhile back in reality, they seem to gravitate to your natural party, the Conservatives.

On a lighter note don't know whether Rees Mogg has a strange sense of humour of just strange but the names he's given his kids suggest some rough school years for them.

Not in the schools his kids will go to. They’d get more problems if they were called Billy, Kevin or Jason than Septimus. ( nothing against those names btw, just not posh enough for prep school ).

Afraid of a man who has never actually managed to become an MP? All it will do is split the leave vote, which is a positive.
You still don't get it do you?

All we keep hearing on here is about remain marches and how the leavers don't care enough to march. I said ages ago that Farage would get the support of the people who want to leave. I said leave voters would use Farage like he uses them. I said his new party would get off the ground. I said that it would get messy if we didn't leave. But all that came back was insults and pathetic comments like I want leave but say I am remain. Some people on here don't use the intelligence they were born with to make stupid point scoring comments.

And we are close to the point where others as well as myself said about. Nobody's happy because nobody has got what they wanted.

Yeah but..But...But...But...

Christ.

All i said is that all of these options are going to split the leave vote.

We will have to wait and see if your prediction of a majority of leave voters flocking to Farage comes true, I don’t think it will because a lot see through him.

I think you’re seriously underestimating the anger in the country. Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party will hold massive appeal to the vast majority of the leavers in this country. You imagine that the consequence will be a split leave vote but I think you’re kidding yourself. I believe Labour as well as Conservative will be hammered.

We shall see! Either way, it will likely be one of the highest ever turn outs for a Euros’ election!

Apparently they already have:

Brexit: Nigel Farage’s party surges into European poll lead

methode%2Ftimes%2Fprod%2Fweb%2Fbin%2F7c5a73ba-6113-11e9-99ae-5ebf638762d3.jpg

Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party is set to come first in next month’s European elections, according to a new opinion poll.

Despite only launching in January, the new party has a five-point lead over Labour and a 12-point lead over the Conservatives.

The YouGov poll, conducted on Monday and Tuesday, put the Brexit Party on 27 per cent, ahead of Labour on 22 per cent with the Conservatives trailing on 15 per cent.

In a sign that Mr Farage has effectively cannibalised the support of the party he previously led in three separate stints, Ukip languished in sixth place on 7 per cent.

I think we’ve realised that polls are pretty meaningless now.

Mart will be having a heart attack with this
The other interesting feature of the PR system in use is that smaller parties get cut off. So if TIG fall below a certain threshold (pretty sure they will) they will get nowt. The Liberals and failing UKIP will find it hard to get any MEPs.
