Not sure why some of our fans are so keen on us being kicked out of the league.

Seems like there’s a bit of a panic today. People expecting the accounts not to filed and the club not to be looking at alternative grounds?

It's almost as if there was a thread about the chance of it backfiring like it did last time and that we should be careful about how it backfires...

Odds on it's going to be Nuneaton
1. It probably just works within the 6 mile Coventry boundary
2. somehow it might save Nuneaton as a football team who are currently in trouble
Myself and mates will not be going to any ground other our home ground the Rioch - didn't go to Northampton and certainly will not be going to Nuneaton and also this time not going to any away matches - had enough of all this

Of course the owners will talk. It just needs SISU to drop their ludicrous legal action which we all know is unwinnable anyway. Most City fans I know regard Wasps' stance as perfectly reasonable, in that why should they negotiate with someone who is trying to distress them as a company?

Whilst I don’t really understand what SISU can realistically gain from winning its legal action. The premise that all will be fine on Wasps end is a bit of a misnomer because any future hypothetical conflict (even with new, hypothetical owners) we’ll be threatened with getting kicked out of the RICOH. To use an example, the state of the pitch gets brought up regularly, or Wasps wanting to play their home matches on Saturdays instead of Sunday’s. Little things could escalate and the reality of the situation is that the club probably will never own even a part of the stadium and our long-term future is in doubt. Frankly, the future has got to be a new stadium somehow if we cannot guy a share in the RICOH.

The council promised that CCFC and CRFC would be ‘protected’ even after Wasps arrival and they were empty words on the Council’s part. By accident or design, the sale of the RICOH to the Wasps puts CCFC’s future in jeopardy.

The bottom line is this, Wasps don’t actually have to sit and negotiate even if litigation was dropped. Both sides are trying to distress each other, and if the sale of the RICOH was fully legal, then the courts will confirm that, as they have done so far. Sisu have the right to appeal even if no one can really work out what they stand to gain even if they win.

On another note if we ground share with someone like Walsall we would not have priority lots of games switched.

Forced upon? All Sisu have to do is drop legals and we can stay! If we leave the Ricoh it's because Sisu decided them pursuing the court case was worth more than the team playing in its rightful home

There's always 2 sides to the story. I don't agree with the constant legals but I also don't agree with Wasps playing chicken with our club. All I care about is existing next year. I'd prefer Sisu weren't constantly litigating and I'd prefer we were at the Ricoh but if it doesn't happen I'll still support the club. What Wasps are doing isn't far from blackmail.

It's the only thing Boddy & Fisher can realistically do. They don't have any real power over what Sisu do.

Think the deadline for a decision by 5th March is a Red Herring. EFL clearly state that if nothing is forthcoming by 5th March the issue will then be discussed at the EGM on 25th April.
Im sure the club are looking toward THAT deadline rather than tomorrow.

The Club has until 5 March 2019 to provide a further update to the Board, addressing the outstanding matter and should a satisfactory solution not be found over the next two months, an Extraordinary General Meeting of Clubs will be convened to consider Coventry City’s expulsion from the League. This would be held on the 25 April in order to provide clarity regarding the Club’s future membership in advance of relegation and promotion issues being resolved during the run-in to the end of the season.

Wasps could easily say that whilst legal action is ongoing they will only agree season by season rental agreements.
They don't have to screw the club over completely.

I doubt the EFL will be keen to see us go. A founding Premier League club, an FA Cup winner, a high profile team in the lower leagues, and owners that have no qualms with court action. They open themselves up to years of expensive litigation if they make any slight mistakes in the process. As, I suspect (I could be wrong, it's not unusual for me) do other teams that may vote us out. The ground problem needs a solution obviously, but I doubt there is much appetite to expel us.

If it's been said that a new team claiming to be city could use the Ricoh then it means the landlords have been in discussion with people intent on creating a phoenix club and the aim of their actions is to distress CCFC.
