I’m convinced Chaplin will come good, maybe not even this season but it will happen. Being the main man isn’t going to do him any good though, we need someone else in that position to take the pressure off.

Chaplin is going nowhere. Same as us.

SISU gave MR some dosh and he jizzed it on Chaplin, Hiwula and Bakayoko

Not followed the game (common theme this season for away games - thought I’d miss them after missing 1 or 2!) apart from listening to last 10 or so minutes of first half in car in way gone and Burge kept us in it.

Just checked Sky sports. wasn’t expecting that!

Are our front two ever going to work? I think a bit like last year with the early McNulty / Biamou partnership, the top two are good individual players but don’t seem to work together as a two? Clearly by the end of the season that changed, so hopefully this one does too, but can’t say I see it happening anytime soon!

That was dogshit, back four calved open at every opportunity and we had nothing in the midfield to win any balls or support the front two. Clueless performance tonight and we need to make some changes as I bet Baka, Kelly etc are thinking what they have to do to get a start

I feel sorry for all the poor fuckers that have travelled to see this pile of shit
I normally predict a win but tonight I had a feeling it wasn't going to go well. Tough away night in the bad weather in late November on the wilds of the Lands coast, but even so....

A real dog turd performance in the end, it was evenly matched 1st half but they cut through us like butter in the 2nd. Mentions for Thomas and Burge but that’s about it.

Chaplin was absolutely appalling tonight. The only player to pip him was Hiwula who I dont think controlled the ball once all night.

Worse performance of the season when you consider the opposition quality. We just gave the game away tbh. This is not the team of players that won 5 in a row. What is going on?
MR's decision making and constantly keeping with under performing players is not working. Thomas flatters to decieve with no end product. Bayliss faded and looked jaded. Doyle appears to be struggling to have any influence. Davies started winning headers and playing worldy passes out the back but the front line seemed motionless. Brown was our most consistent player on the night.

They took their chances, we didn't. I'm at a point now where I'd rather have McNulty back than keep Chaplin. Burge beaten too easily for the first. JCH out for Baka, Doyle for Kelly, Davies in for Willis or Hyam. Need a change on the left too.

Have to say, Robins game management is so poor at times. His changes don't often seem to work when we need it. He seems to have his favourites who become undroppable despite poor performances (Doyle particularly).

I know he hasn't gone back to Macclesfield yet, but is there a recall option on Ponticelli?

He set the tone when publicly slating players like Bakayoko.

All 5 of them should have their positions seriously questioned.

It's been several games now. Flukey late goals have generally masked it a bit, but I would make wholesale changes for the next game.

You imagine Ryan Giggs ripping a defence to pieces first half Ferguson would of been livid if he wasn’t constantly fed the ball second half why was Thomas starved of the ball second half tactically he’s utter bollocks Doyle has to be dropped we need to sign a forward shame he spunked the money on Hiwula Baka & Chaplin when Stockley would of come in for that

Doyle - Only one who seems to want to not be a pussy, even then most of the time he gets bullied
Bayliss - Does fancy turns
Hiwula - Nobody else to play on the left.
Chaplin - Golden boy
JCH - Other option is Bakayoko, so JCH could probably do whatever he wants.

Fairly solid summary there.

If our defence was below average I think we would be in pretty serious trouble.

It's getting poor now. Keep making excuses for cup line ups or whatever but we are failing right now. Hiwula, JCH, Bakayoko, Chaplin......failing ! Sloppy goals, shit keeper as a rule, weak midfield. Things can change quickly of course but right now we are slipping badly.

Yeah, crazy, Husband shouldn't have been on the pitch because Thomas had frustrated so much. If we'd kept running at him he'd definitely have walked. Thomas is our best player, despite his frustrating lack of end product.
