Just wondering, is there anyone out there who doesn't find him funny?

Everyone seems to love him and I think quite rightly so.

I was not a fan at all of Reeves and Mortimer, or Shooting Stars, or any of the other stuff they did together, but Bob Mortimer, when he's own his own and on stuff like Would I Lie to You and Taskmaster, is a complete joy to behold.

Just wonder if there's anyone on here who doesn't find him funny.

Thought he was brilliant on Would I Lie to You last night and he had the panel in tears of laughter.

Never, ever listened to a podcast.

Do they tend to be just audio rather than audio and video?

I know my daughter has it. Somehow (according to her anyway) she gets the premium for free.

He’s bloody amazing

The gangs of the premier league and Peter Beardsley stories are genius

Otis, once you have finished still game ;) give Athletico mince a listen the first few are hit and miss but from about 5 episodes onwards they are brilliant #kissthealderman

He was sat behind me once at a show in London. Seemed a genuinely nice bloke that was happy to chat with everyone, take pics etc rather than hide away in VIP.

Loved Shooting Stars, wish they would bring it back. His recent show with Paul Whitehouse is well worth a watch.
Don't you need to pay for Spotify?
What phone have you got? Have a look for the podcast app on there and you can get most of them for free.

Don't have a podcast app.

Phone is quite old. Samsung S5.

Guess I can download it from the app store though.

Interesting looking up Bob Mortimer, because it seems nearly everyone finds him very funny, but Vic Reeves a lot less so. In fact, many saying Vic Reeves is not funny at all.

I think everyone would want Bob Mortimer as their uncle or best mate.

Love Vic as well . At the Sunderland game whenever I saw someone with a Jimmy hill masks couldn't help but think of the sketch where they came out in Jimmy hill masks dancing to faith by George Michael.
Loved shooting stars and saw it live when they did a stage version but it was ok at best.

Never watched it, so can't comment. Only saw clips and didn't find anything funny unfortunately.

Oddly enough, when Googling Bob Mortimer and coming across Vic Reeves, there are entire threads about Vic Reeves not being funny.

Seems to be like Marmite, whereas I think you can not like any Reeves and Mortimer stuff but still find Bob Mortimer funny.

I've always loved both Vic and Bob, but Bob definitely has more everyman appeal. He always seems like he'd be the nicest man you'd ever meet too.

Now see, I could only watch about 30 seconds of that before having to switch off. Just didn't find it funny at all.

I do know loads of people loved them, but it's just not for me.

Yeah, that's what I mean. You just warm to him as a human being and I think that's what makes him funnier.

I always love it cos it was so basic. Just mucking about. Trouble is these days comedy seems to have to be political or bullying in nature.

But as you always say comedy is a personal thing. The Big Night Out was something very different from a decade of the London night at the palladium stuff so as youngsters we loved it.

Bob has always been the funnier one

Yeah. Gathered that.

Never keen on people dressing up just to get a laugh.

Bob Mortimer has shown that he is really funny anyway.

Try to ignore the cameraman sniggering along and shaky camerawork

Bit further on in that episode it shows Jonny Vegas trying to eat a huge chocolate eclair bloody hilarious

Millions of podcasts out there to download to any device you like. Didn't even know that some cost money! Loads of free ones. I like Richard Herring's Leicester Square comedy interviews - some gems in there but not time left in your life to listen to them all there are so many - great if you have an hour's regular drive. The Ricky Gervais stuff is good too.

As a hinterlectual I also like The Philisophers' Arms podcasts - philosophy and moral arguments in a pub.

Love WILTY - one of the few panel shows to make me cry with laughter. Bob Mortimer absurdities absolutely brilliant as always.

'Kiss the Alderman' comes from the stories he tells on Athletico Mince so I was sure he was making it up and just referencing something that came to mind. I'd love to try a pint of Retail Park

Bob can be extremely funny, but I have to admit there are times when it's just a bit too much for me and you swear the man must be on a permanent LSD trip.

He's been on WILTY a few times and some of the stories (which he claims are true) just seem so outlandish it just isn't possible and I swear he was putting in a few lies in the story along the way. The story about him doing his own dentaI work I swear cannot be true.

Another story you should look up is the Kevin Bridges donkey story.

David's team actually had quite a Cov link last night as Lucy Porter's mum is apparently from here, before moving down south.

Love them both, Bob was brilliant last night, i follow both on twitter and they are quite different characters. Vic is a bit of an artist in the surreal sense and seems to be happy at home painting pictures. I think in essence they are both really nice blokes and you would have a great night in the pub with them drinking Bob's beer

Sorry Otis. Have to say I don't find him that funny. He's 'okay', but not side-splittingly hilarious. Took me years to know which one was which (Reeves & Mortimer), much the same as that Anton Dec fella.
