what was all that about? I did notice one of the idiots involved was also fighting away at Accrington Stanley last season.

Where was this within the ground? On concourse or inside the seating area and in which block?

It was by the gates between stand and concourse. Between a big old bloke of about 50 and a young lad of about 22. Overheard someone say the old lad came up to him, asked him if he was (insert name), when he said yes the old lad started throwing punches. No idea if that’s the truth, just what I heard. The amount of times I go to see city and there’s a fight among our fans is ridiculous. It might be the same for other teams, regardless it’s still too many. People need to get their shit together

The younger lad I’ve seen fighting before at Accrington. Obviously has some issues and needs to stay at home.

was this by the side of the food stand?
Was queueing for a hot dog, (which was very nice by the way), and saw the police heading over.
When I got served I had to walk past it and it looked like they were arresting some middle aged fella and his son was saying I'm coming with you but his dad was telling him to stay and watch the game.

Fair play-his old man sounds like a good sport!

I was close to it and thought that one of them mistook the other for someone else and it kicked off.

That’s the most accurate depiction of what went on. It relates to a matter that’s nothing to do with football.

What do you know that we don't?

It’s nothing that’s going to be posted on here. Before the usual people come out and blame the young lads as an easy scapegoat, maybe the middle aged bloke (st holder) should take a look at himself.

He started his girly pushing (which you don’t expect from a bloke that’s 8 stone overweight) right in front of the old bill, which shows how he wanted their attention and for them to step in.

Must say that I can't recall ever seeing fighting amongst our own fans at the Ricoh. Maybe you're associating with the wrong sort!!

Did you come out unscathed?

There is a whiff of trouble at an away game and unsurprisingly you are right in the thick of it again.

These can't all be coincidences can they?

I’m associating with the wrong sort? What because I happen to be stood/sat in the same stand as someone who likes to fight at football matches? I’ve also never seen it at the Ricoh, but being a travelling fan, I’ve seen it many a time on the road.

Yes all good. Didn’t even lose a chip.

Just a few unfortunate occasions where fellow City fans have been cocks and most people have been too scared to say boo to a goose.
But maybe I should take a leaf out of your book and avoid all trouble by not going to any games at all!

Don't be so sour that when I go to games I choose not to go with you!

Then again, why would I? I prefer to watch games from the stand, not on the pitch!

Interesting. Maybe Nick should add a 'Punch' button. A 'Like - Punch' ratio would be cool!
I'd punch Otis and Oldskyblue58 just to try and balance out their likes

I just might do that as I’m fed up of my kids witnessing these pricks at away games
Stopped going away games with my kids couple years ago because of this, but they have asked if we can go to a few this season. I have said yes but feel like I always have one eye on the game and one eye on what the dicks around you are getting up too!

And before anyone says “lighten up, your at a football match what do you you expect” ... errr people not to act like dicks , under the excuse of “being at a football match”
