Bearing in mind I didnt see the first match and basing it off comments on here and highlights, and assuming no more signings (which I think is unlikely), Id go:

LOB
Grimmer Willis Davies Mason
Ogogo
Sterling Andreu Bayliss
Biamou Hiwula

Not happy about sticking Bayliss on the left but want Sterling further forward and Hiwula up front.

Is Burge still out?

OBri
Grimmer-Davies-Willis-Mason
Doyle-Ogogo
Bayliss-Andreu-Hiwula
Biamou

Wimbledon is a tricky place to go. The pitch is usually poor and AFC tend to play a more long-ball style of football.

Type of game where Doyle needs to lead from the middle.

grimmer for stelring could work but we gotta give kids/new signigns time to bed themselves in

other than that keep it same unless we sign a new player or allasanni is fit

maybe doyle out and bayliss in middle alongside agogo but like i said too early to be making drastic changes imo. we could have easily won on saturday,

Probably too attacking - he will keep Doyle a little longer.
If it were me Stiring for Grimmer, Bayliss for Stirling, Allensi or Shipley on the left?

Can't predict a team yet knowing there will be incomings and outgoings before the game. hopefully we get a win and play well. 3 points in our first 2 games back will go down nicely.

Got my ticket and looking forward to Saturday. As a warning to anyone getting the train, South Western Rail are warning of strikes on Saturday that will affect the route from Euston.

If there are no ins/outs (unlikely as mentioned), I would go with the same XI, maybe barring Davies for Hyam. Don't think we can start dropping players (Sterling for Grimmer) based on the very first game of the season. Also thought we played well, just were punished by two clinical finishes. Give them time to gel, despite the result it was an encouraging performance.

We cannot play Biamou up front on his own and expect to win. He should play but i am finding it hard to put him in the team with Andreu there. I also think we need a bit more experience at the back.

Going with a 4-4-1-1.

So you play him right midfield instead? Makes sense.

Biamou RM? Get a grip

Biamou RM? Get a grip

Is there any need for that aggression or sarcasm?

I only put him in there so not to get bashed for dropping him, but if you feel so strongly that he cannot play there then he should be dropped as he is ineffective as lone striker and Andreu is better as a 10. Sterling can play RM instead in which case.

Very much plenty of need for the sarcasm, again.

Why not put Sterling there and put Biamou right back?

Can't believe you've just admitted to picking players in your own fantasy CCFC team in order to please 'the internet'! I've just taken a call and they said they can bring your pickup forward a couple of hours :)

It's not out of pleasing the internet. I want Biamou to play but I don't honestly know where he fits in.

With the squad as it is, I'd be tempted to play Biamou and JCH (a bit wider on the left) this week. Wimbledon have got a very young defence, their fullbacks are 21,22 and CBs, 23, 25 with Rod as back up. Would like a go at bullying them a bit.

LOB
Grimmer-Willis-Davies-Mason
---- Ogogo -----
--- Bayliss Andreu ---
Hiwula - Biamou - JCH

Aggression? You are a sensitive soul.

I think this thread brings home that we have quite a bit of strength in depth. Refreshing change from the last time we were in this league and scratching around for a half decent starting 11.

You want to play Biamou as a lone striker, so you can hardly go throwing your weight around with admissions like that.

It did make me chuckle.

It isn't a lone striker, it is where you have 2 other players playing off him on either side and Andreu just behind.

It's not whack Biamou up front with nobody around him expecting him to do everything himself.

Just a couple of tweaks to how we had it on Saturday.

I dont think it really needs tampering with too much as on another day and the goal 2" wider and taller we would have won comfortably. I'd go with to start

Burge. ( if fit)
Sterling Willis Davies Mason
Doyle Ogogo
Bayliss Andreu Hiwula
Biamou

Lets not forget we comfortably out played a team in large parts of the game who WILL be in the top 6 come the end of the season

I would like to see Grimmer restored to the line up and Burge in goal.
I believe we put too many new players in the team on Saturday, that said we played good football and we deserved something.

Grimmer
Davies
Willis
Mason
Doyle
Agogo
Bayliss
Andreu
Shipley
Biamou
