Just to add a bit of balance.

The Imps have trained this week, the club does have indoor training facilities and only have two long term injuries.

LCFC had no influence in the decision to postpone the match, that would have been the decision of the stadium license holder in consultation with the licensing authorities.

Yes, whilst we can all no doubt recall matches played in difficult circumstances in the past, the World is very different these days, what ever your take on it is, we all need to accept it and move on.

See you all in April.

Did Lincoln try to get the game called off yesterday?

Only 3 games still showing as on in league one - mk dons, Scunthorpe and Southend

I see certain Premiership RU games have fallen but possibly due to Transportation issues.
They have simply re arranged to play on Sunday.
Why not try that or give it until 5pm.
I fail to understand the reasoning here.

The weather and roads changed dramatically yesterday afternoon between 3 pm and 5 pm. The game is off like loads of games across the country hardly a big deal. Serious efforts were obviously made to try and keep it on.

gives us more time to get Carl Baker fit as well
What better time to have Carl Baker Day.

We're all free now.

I'll do the vol au vents and the mini quiches. Someone fancy going out and buying the Sunny D and cheesy Wotsits?

But the roads, area around arena and pitch are fine. Only is is snow that has drifted into the stands which can be cleared easily.

Yeah I’m baffled how “snow in stands” is a valid reason... clear it up? Put some gravel down? I hope we smash these little fairies in the rearranged game

You have to feel for them though, a lot of their away support will now miss their big day out.

Coventry City’s home game against Lincoln City has been called off.

Following snow overnight, teams of volunteers and staff from Coventry and the Ricoh Arena worked to try to ensure that areas surrounding the Ricoh Arena were clear of snow. The pitch was in good condition, however snow had drifted into the South Stand which made it dangerous along with areas of the East Stand too.

Combined with the distance that Lincoln City fans were set to travel to the game, the decision was made to call the game off at 9:50am.

There will be information regarding the re-arranged fixture once it is confirmed.

We’d like to place on record our thanks to all staff, volunteers and authorities that made great efforts in the past 48 hours to combat the weather.

NEWS: Today's game against Lincoln City has been called OFF

don't get the backlash here. any lower league games that stay on today will be very much in the minority. if we were the only game in the midlands postponed I would understand it.

Imagine if someone was seriously injured or worse getting to the game. its just not worth it....

On a footballing note, gives MR more time to work with his players.

Fine if the only safety concern was snow in the stands that could of been cleared

Agreed.

5 of 10 fixtures in the championship postponed (inc. Villa and wolves at home)

7 of 10 fixtures in league one postponed

9 of 11 fixtures in league two postponed.

I don't understand the meltdown, seems to be some conspiracy around injuries based on one or two on twitter on the wind up.

Does anyone know what players they had injured and not available for selection for today to see how much of a impact that might of had?

Because we are always saying how we are too big for this league and how amazing the Ricoh is. Pretty embarrassing I've seen people on driving lessons this morning. Pussies

How are you failing to comprehend that the weather is not the same everywhere and might be different in CV6 to somewhere else?
