Yeah, accumulation of things pointing to that as we know. People won't go to the Ricoh so go away instead, non season ticket renewal and another new ground to visit.
We can confirm that we have been given an extra 442 tickets for the trip to Sincil Bank to face Lincoln City in SkyBet League Two action.

Say what you like about the team but the fans support this year away from home bar one or two dicks has been amazing. Over a thousand every away game.

A lot of it is down to cheaper tickets and new grounds to visit.
Was the same when we first went down to League 1, averaged around 1400 across the season. Obviously the season after we were taking thousands everywhere due to Sixfields.
We would have easily taken over 2000 to Luton and the same with Lincoln, but unfortunately in this league the away allocations are a lot smaller than League 1.
It would be interesting if we got to the play offs, imagine the scramble for 1000 tickets if we met Luton away. The perfect scenario would be Notts County where we would be able to sell 5000 odd.

Certainly is a good effort. I can remember games in the top league where we took low hundreds to games even not too far away.

Depends how many they would sell. They got 13,000 a few weeks ago and it was their biggest home crown in something like 5 years.

They gave away over 5000 free tickets to local schools for that game so you can hardly compare with that game. They got 4000 last night...

Love the Wig & Mitre. Good grub too. Well worth the hike up Steep Hill, and the nearby Brown's Pie Shop ain't too shabby either (from memory). Not so fussed about The Magna Carta though, but it's not bad I guess.

Out of interest do we still hold the record for an away support allocation when we took 11000 to old Trafford.
Bar any Wembley allocation with Spurs etc and I don't count Scottish football at all.

Yes it’s a very nice small city - similarish to Chester.
I'm gutted that I can't get to this game as I lived in Lincoln for 20 years and the misses and her family are all from there. We are however expecting and even I don't think it would be wise to go that weekend!
Fellow sky blues should have a good time though, uphill there are quite a few pubs; Strugglers Inn (my old local) and The Vic (next door) are good real ale pubs and a mate of mine runs the Lincoln Tap House. Closer to town the cardinals hat wasn't bad last time I went. The Peacock and the Morning Star are also reasonable boozers up hill, or at least were decent!

I live less than 5 mins walk from the Struggs and the Victoria, both very good boozers although the Struggs in aprticular gets busy. Both are a bit of out of the way. Nearer the ground, the Treaty of Commerce is a decent independent pub and is just up the road from the Ritz Wetherspoons which I imagine is heavily policed. If you like craft beer, go to the The Straight and Narrow up the High Street. There are more nice pubs than you can shake a stick at, such as The Tap and Spile, Wig & Mitre, the aforementioned Cardinal's Hat, the Lion and Snake and the Duke William, to name a few.
Not true really; it's a seaside town/village which seems mostly full of a) retired people from elsewhere, b) second homers from elsewhere and c) caravan site holidaymakers from Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leicester etc. It's a pint of lager and a bag of chips strip of houses next to a huge expanse of sand.
If you really want to see a typical "backwoods" Lincolnshire place, go to Immingham. Or, rather, don't.

Mmmmm in my experience it’s very strange. A cafe that resembles something from the 50’s, a pub that looks like a house and we were asked “your not from round here are you?” The largest mobility scooter shop in the world, a chip shop cooling in inedible beef dripping, a co op where the delivery service consists of the shop assistant carrying shopping back to the persons house who follows them in a mobility scooter (of course)

Nah mate I do mean Chapel St Leonards. I've been to all of the places on that stretch of coast including the likes of Ingoldmells, Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes and of course Skegvegas!

There are lots of (awful) pubs that look like houses (and sell lots of Carling and John Smiths to visiting eejits from Nottingham and Leicester) in Chapel (that's Chapel with one 'l' and Leonards without an apostrophe BTW). Your description, Grendel, is otherwise fairly accurate, but as I probably know several of the people you disparage, and in the main they are good as gold, I'll refrain from further comment. If you wish to rip the crap out of over half of the Parish Councillors though, be my guest.
If you want a real pub in Chapel, head out from the Co-op/Village Green on Sea Road for half a mile to the Ship Inn (my local for five years until 2015) as I lived about ten doors coast-side of it.
Often used to pop up to Sutton too, but most places along that stretch are absolute shitholes full of mobile homes. Inland a bit is a different matter entirely though.
