I'd definitely play Biamou, Nazon, Stevenson and the twins. Ponticelli off the bench too.

In Robins' first spell in L1, we struggled to build momentum and put together a run of wins. So at this point in the season we should try and build that momentum early on without risking doubts for the game.

We should protect any players carrying injuries, Stokes as an example, but generally play the strongest side available. With such potential attacking options we can use this opportunity to try them. We saw last season with Beavon that he was overplayed so give him a break and play Biamou and Nazon.

Stokes would be the only doubt but I'd not fancy Cramwell or Lahey against Samuel.

Beavon only played 70mins Saturday so should be good to go again unless he's a niggle. Biamou looked a little raw to me still on Saturday to go against a good Blackburn side tho played a nicely waited pass to JJ, a bit more time for him to adapt from the bench and he will come good.

We will need these players further down the line so why not play them in a cup game first. Players will adapt far easier on the pitch than on the bench.

I take your points... see what MR does tonight I suppose. He's the casting vote after all.

elliott ward still going?

samuel could be dangerous. i just hope we play well. if we lose 2-1 with a spirited performance it should still give us confidence going into league 2 games vs poorer opposition

Smash Samuel early on and put him out of the game, mess Ward's hair up and go through him and he won't want it either.

Couldn't make it Saturday, looking forward to going up tonight. One side of my family is from Blackburn so even though they're my de facto 2nd team, I hope we stuff them so I get bragging rights. Just like the FA Cup game at Ewood in '08 :joyful: sadly my head says that might not be the case...

i am worried that after eurphoria of saturday we will get that losing feeling again even though we are playing a league 1 team.

but like i said earlier the performance is more important

This is important for confidence - do well against a stronger team and our team will benefit for the league match - remember they have only just got together so its a good experience - hope my lasy years ticket works

I'll be there.

I do hope our fans don't set too high expectations for Ponti. He is a kid who ought to be in the development side for a few more years, not a serious contender to be a regular starter as some one here seem to think. He has talent and has scored goals but that doesn't mean he ought to be blooded now. I'm of the school of thought whereby it's easy to undermine players' development by picking them too soon. CCFC has definitely been guilty of picking youngsters sooner than they ought to have done and I hope this changes. I have no problem with someone like Ponty training with the first team squad and making the occasional bench appearance as cover etc, but it's far too soon to be calling for him to be starting or for considering him as a first teamer.

Not sure about Stevenson to start or Biamou, but agree with the rest. Oh and I think it'll go to extra time and perhaps even Pens 2-2.
