Is Coventry City centre the only town/city centre that is dead? It's a national problem isn't it? As CCC seemed to have found an alternative use which has helped regenerate the City centre at least in part's what would parliament say exactly? Well done for diversifying and finding an alternative to help buck a national trend? I don't see what your point is?

They can summon them but I don't think there's any legal requirement to attend. Didn't stop people like the Murdoch's attending though as it could be contrived as having something to hide and that can be more damaging than dodging the committee. I read somewhere not that long ago that Mike Ashley is saying he's not going to attend one he's been summoned to in the summer but the bad publicity of refusing to attend is/could damage sports directs share price negatively thus forcing him to attend in the end anyway. We'll see.

Either way we should all welcome this. I made the point regarding the JR when people were saying that they just wanted to know the truth that only one side was being held to account so at best it will only be a sort of half truth. Here's a chance to get the other side held to account. Maybe we can all start making some informed decisions regarding everything if it happens. After all, as you once said yourself. Where's the harm in asking questions.

I'll certainly be writing to my MP asking for him to back this.

not sure what it would achieve. SISU run the club yes, made some decisions that fans do not like but as far as I can see nothing illegal, then said we are not wasting any more money on it. A group of largely superficially informed MP's are not going to get any in depth answers. In any case we probably already know more than most of the MP's likely to be involved

Sounds a good headline but it achieves what? We need solutions not reasons for actions that happened years ago. Yes understanding of how we got here is useful, but what is here and what is the future? SISU as a private company might be forced to attend (not sure they can be) but they do not have to answer do they?

It's not about breaking laws, it's about them being answerable for their actions and the
Repercussions those actions have on people.
None of those mentioned above would have relished appearing, all squirmed in their

As Parliament is on the cusp of legislating to reform the governing bodies there is scope to investigate the effect /repercussions of "Proxy ",ownership. IMO.
