More players incoming tomorrow? (1 Viewer)

Suppose it depends on Stokes to a degree and when we can expect him back.

At the moment we have Lorentzson and Phillips and Ricketts for the right back slot. Stephens can cover right back too, having the ability to play multiple roles across the back four and defensive midifeld.

Ricketts, Stephens and Martin for CB + possibly Vincelot at a push.

Ricketts, Hunt for left back, plus again Stephens and the option to recall Haynes.

Would we guess at a left back as the potential loan in then?

Obviously Ricketts and Stephens can play across the back four, but they are just two players, so we are still thin on the ground.

Preferably a winger, but not Ryan Kent.

A midfielder that can't pass, shoot, or cross to add to our already missfiring attack line is not what we want.

A defender could be useful as well.

You haven't a clue about football. I don't think Kent is the messiah but if you can't see how a player like him stretches teams you must be blind.

They were good for sure, but no match for Haggerty F, Haggerty R, Tompkins, Carrick, Dobson, Dewhurst, Crapper, McIntyre, Treadmore and Davitt.
Davitt's head could crack a crossbar from the halfway line.
Coachs from Leeds.

Defender and get moussa back
No thanks. He's struggled for fitness for well over a year, only made 7 appearances since 1 Nov 2014, been without a club for nearly 2 months. We need someone who can come in and hit the ground running and not need 2 months to get fit.

Yep. They need to be fit and most definitely match fit and have been playing regularly.

He was in the same situation when we signed him last time, took him a good 6 weeks to get up to speed

Oh and you have?
I wouldn't have him back ether.
We stretch teams most weeks our problem is keeping them out when we are stretched.

Id take Moussa back for next season if his wage demands are not too high but no point picking him up at this point in the season

Whatever his shortcomings extreme pace are a big attribute. They pull defenders towards you and away from others.

Lamaries has no pace and Murphy very little.

Before Coleman ruined him Misfud had the same impact. John Williams was a poor footballer but pace creates panic.

Yes but you can't win games on pace alone, you still need to put that ball in the net and keep it away from your own box, when the same players pass the ball to the opposition.

Can't be 100% on this, but pretty darn sure we never had a Grendel John Williams ever play for us.

I spoke to Moussa at the end of season dinner, it's safe to say he wasn't a fan of SP, the problem was the manager not the club.

,

That sheds a whole new light on things. In that case, I take back what I said. It goes to show what I said in another post, These are Pro footballers and are not allowed to express their feelings to the detriment of the Club without the Club's permission. ;)

Mogga has stated 2 perm signings are on the way...

“We have had a few players training with us so we might bring one or two permanent in. One is one of the future, a powerful attacking player.
“Another is a bit more experienced could play a part this season, possibly next season. He’s a foreign player.
“Don’t get too excited, there are not for tomorrow night.
“The young player is for two seasons time maybe.
“The more experienced player is a midfield player.”
