If it really is the case he's in the plans for next season and not this one, it seems a little strange.

Not saying he isn't going to be a good signing, because none of us really know at this point, but surely we need someone to come in and add strength to the team now?

We've got 10 massive games, and certainly our lacklustre attacking midfielders need to be put under pressure in their positions to get the best out of them. If Jones is just going to sit in the reserves, then surely we've got our priorities all wrong right now?

I would have thought he should be in the squad for the game at Peterborough when we are bit low on numbers.

Don't we already have Lameiras, Hunt and Cole on the bench?

What I.don't get is why the emergency loan if we aren't using him?
TM is pulling a flanker.

One for the future, U21 squad, one for next year etc etc etc.

You just watch him plunged straight in today! ;)

Is this ,realy ,all we can hope for? My goodness our expectations have plummeted over the last few years

This option will require a transfer fee, which is a lot more than has been invested since 2011. Loan signings can work but if as expected we don't make the play offs they leave you back to square 1. Old heads ricketts MAF Tudgay don't come cheap and offer nothing for the future. I think we will need a combination of own youth products, lower league stars like Jodi, premier league youth players being released, loans and old heads. Since relegation we have gone far too much down the loan market.

Hopefully he will turn out to be better than that defender SP bought into the club, I seem to remember him being described as 'one for the future'.

Apparently we were in for 19 year old Bradley Ash too a few weeks back from Weston Supermare but he joined Barnsley. Scored a hat trick for the Barnsley U21s at Leeds recently

Boo for signing a nobody youngster and showing forward thinking.

Boo SISU for spending money.

Boo TM for getting him in on loan to give him longer to acclimatize to a new City/team/location/team mates.

I don't think that's the point being made. Signing someone for be future is great and this could be a very wise piece of business.

But our immediate situation is trying to get back to playoff positions so using up a loan space for someone not expected to make an immediate impact is a little strange?

Maybe we're wrong and he'll make a good impact, fingers crossed he does!

It only uses a space if he is in the squad

This is a real positive step forward
Back to the model of signing the best young talent
Around or below us.
This is exactly what we should be doing, signing guys like this.
Promoting our own youth and blending it with seasoned pro's.
A few more signings like this with the JM money may allow us to keep a manager like TM.
Well done SISU a step in the right direction

A bit late on this one but was waiting on the reply of my Dagenham friend whos got a season ticket. Says hes their best player and will play in the PL one day and that his pace is something else. Personally never heard of him and think he looks more of a girl than Madders but it's looks a promising signing

Give the lad a chance and don't expect too much too soon.

Yep! Me too.

What have we got to lose? At least put him on the bench and give him a run out for the last 15-20 mins or so.

Agree. Maybe he could feature on Friday - Murphy up top with Henderson and Jones on the wing. From what I have read he has pace to burn and has a great strike

Will watch this with interest if he was Dagenhams star man he should be more than capable of going into the next division, we have Armstrong missing for 2 matches and need pace up front and a new broom is often a good thing just as long as supporters don't expect a Lionel Messi

Based on the fact he has spent much of the last couple of months on the bench at Dagenham it might be a stretch to call him their 'star man'.

Looks a good prospect and he's the sort of signing we should be making but would be surprised to see him start for us anytime soon, although he could get a place on the bench on Friday if he impresses tonight.

Chief Commentator!
8 - GOAL FOR #CCFC! @JodsJones, it didn't take him long. Finch picked out his run and after a neat turn, Jones found the corner. 1-0! #PUSB

19 - #CCFC corner cleared as far as Jones who spins the defender but his effort is deflected over. Jones' composure impressive. 1-0. #PUSB

I think he could be good news if he can hack it with us.

2 goals and an assist within an hour?! Stick him in Friday, what have we got to lose? Could be a welcome boost plus an injection of pace into the side in the absence of Armstrong.

Henderson on the wing??? Well known for his wing wizardry!
Pleased for the lad to have a good debut - but rememe
ber it is u-21 footy not mans
league one football different proposition entirely.

Think he may be in squad but on bench, be very surprised if he starts Friday.

We have to stick him in. He sounds like the spark we need in our attacking play.

There's nothing to lose here.

Also get Sambou in.
