Put out to get offered a new contract I imagine. Agent work

Had a pretty poor game by his standards yesterday. Is this a new phenomenon? Young players have a few good games and suddenly they are "in demand". I'm sure players used to have one good season, at least, before the speculation started.

Don't we have an option on his contract anyway, poor journalism once again

You can only sign one with a foreign club I think

Yes, the sole aim is to get his name across forums and people talking about him.

I thought the club had a one year extension in their favour.

We are a good team playing well but in the third division so our better players will be looked at especially the younger ones.
I think MR has said recently we have a year option on all our out of contract players which I assume means we can get a fee for any who move on.

I think Westbrook would be wary about a move anyway considering he came here after didn’t get game time at Brentford.

If Bristol City were genuinely interested, I'd take Walsh in a swap deal all day.

We have the option of extending his contract at the end of his present one, not sure how that works in terms of him being able to talk to other clubs.

The stories came out 10 mins apart - funnily enough none of the same clubs were used as if they’re trying to get as much reach as possible

Leeds, Bristol City, Forest, Derby, West Brom, Cardiff

Walsh a bit more gritty, Westbrooke a fancy player, and a much better passer than Walsh.

Both can shoot.

Hmmm

Nah. Needs to bulk up and get stuck in as this will be a pre requisite but his passing and vision is really very good. More replaceable than mccallum

Jamie Allen or Jodie Jones are waiting in the wings to take his place if he goes, so I’m not too worried about this one.

Although I expect Westbrooke will sign a new contract soon enough.

Yes but it’s not going to happen.

Walsh is younger, has Championship experience and has much more to his game imo.

As STP says, highly likely it's just agent talk. Suspect we will see the extension triggered at some point in Jan, perhaps with another year or 2 thrown on top

It’s no slight on Westbrooke as Walsh has played Championship football and looks a cut above this level recently. Perhaps it would be fairer to compare him to a permanent player

As we certainly need the money I reckon the club will listen to offers for any of our players in this window
We have a good squad and a lot of cover in midfield areas
Not sure if MR is correct when he says that the club has an option on all the players whose contracts expire in the summer

Now I dislike Sisu as much as the next man but I can see that a sale may be necessary to keep the club going with the reduced gates. The fans that will be moaning the most will be the ones that refuse to go to St Andrews.

Yeah sell one by all means, the bit about they may listen to offers for any of our players is slightly worrying
