In no order a non-exhaustive list....enjoying the others;

- Both Villa away games in the league and cup when we first beat them 97/8

- Huckerby vs Man Utd of course!

- Last minute winner and 90th minute equaliser vs West Brom in the FA Cup 93/4

- Staying up at Spurs last game of the season in 96'

- Semi Final in 87'.

- Spurs 4-3 the last minute Cyrille winner in 86'.

- Losing 5-1 to Tranmere away when we had Rafael Nuzzo ('Porn star in our goal').

- Robbie Keane's first goal.

The Blackburn away game was a cracker too. We had real potential at the time.

October 1993 Oldham Athletic A 0–2 10,071

Walking into Highfield Road for the first time.

Having heard countless stories about it since I was a young 'un, just the experience of going up the stairs in the East Stand, and walking out and seeing the pitch....man I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Hearing the SBA sing for the first time is up there too. When you've been raised on a diet of Australian crowds who wouldn't know sporting atmosphere if it bit them on the arse, hearing thousands of football fans in unison is a hell of an experience.

Season truly fell apart after that

The game at home to Sheff Weds when the whole ground was singing 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' was pretty special. Don't think I've seen anything like it before or after and it was a great touch for the club to put on.

There was also our 4-0 hammering by Southampton in the 11/12 season. Walking through Southampton after the game in my City shirt I had countless Saints fans come up to me shaking my hand for our support that day, reminiscing about both clubs punching above their weight in the top flight and saying how much they would love to have us back up without SISU. It was a real class act and made the result a bit easier to take.

1: League Cup Semi V West Ham 2 down and half time, came back to win 3-2 best game I ever saw at HR 2. V Wolves 1967 51k at HR, on the pitch people climbing floodlights, sitting on top one the old West End Shed. The magician that was Ian Gibson 3. FA Cup final never thought I would see the day we won the cup. The fans, the celebrations in Cov, what an amazing day 4. V Man U League Cup Sept 2007, 10k fans at Old Trafford, crazy night could not believe we had won... Misfud, shame he ended going up his own arse 5. My very first game, I was about 5 or 6, sat in the main stand with my grand dad, the pitch had a slope on it. Think the game was against QPR and we won 3-2. I can remember was Willie Humpries skinning their full back over and over again.. and my grand dad, he's not a bad player is he.... the start of the Jimmy Hill Golden era, hooked forever since.

There was nothing like the first game of the season at HR. Walking up the steps and seeing the pitch in the sun for the first time in three months or so. Fantastic.

Mine is always an away game, when the city fans are in large numbers - The one I remember fondly is a 2-0 win against Wimbledon at Selhurst in the 1990's when the supporters invaded the pitch . I cannot recall city supporters ever being this loud and I remember having to stick my fingers in my ears as it was bloody painful. I remember David Burrows was absolutely outstanding. I remember Nuddy's second goal sending everyone absolutely wild. Even though all the other relegation rivals (Man City for one) won that day I couldn't have felt more proud. My hearing was never the same after that.

Was one of only 3 games I missed that season. Fell on the same day as Oasis's gig at Maine Road for which me and 3 friends had tickets for. After the gig we went to this nearby boozer and watched Match of the day there, belting out the Sky Blue song upon witnessing the heroics at Selhurst Park.

Think we were lucky to get out alive!

I was on that coach .Didn't the driver get lost ? I think he was getting worried as it was half full of headbangers.

Unbelievable that this was twenty two years ago. Took my new girlfriend for a "day out in London". Walk round Windsor, lunch by the river, and "oh look, Coventry are playing up the road this afternoon". Her first ( and last ) game which she never recovered from. What a great afternoon. Drove into London afterwards as didn't want it to end and got two last minute West End theatre tickets for a tenner.

The postscript is 22 years and five kids later we're still together and the kids are all Cov fans!
