Your favourite match of the resurrection

So many great games in that list. Some personal highlights:

12. Charlton 1-2 Coventry (2018) - wasn't this boatgate? Also the Bakayoko comeback special
26. Birmingham 2-4 Coventry (2022) - great comeback and the O'Hare sunglasses moment
33. Coventry 3-1 Leicester (2024) - atmosphere and goals here were brilliant. Especially Dewsbury-Hall sulking in the interview after the game
36. Coventry 3-3 Manchester United (2024) - I know we lost in horrible fashion, but it's still one of the best games of football I've seen in person
Charlton was great for the limbs haha. Pretty sure someone fell down the stairs from memory? Beating Leicester 3-1 was brilliant and had a great atmosphere in the last ten mins. I’m still annoyed about the penalty given against us though 😂😂

I've not spent much time thinking about it but arguably #36. For those 10/15 (or so) seconds before VAR, it felt monumental, like we could do anything. There are far more important games but that feeling will be hard to beat.

Is that really 5 years go? 🤯

It's up there with my favourites, the crowd was just so good back then. H&S went out the window, it felt like everyone crammed into block 14/15.
I just can’t look back in anger at the Utd game. That 20 minutes is honestly football joy in a nutshell. Yeah, incredible Bristol City was 5 years ago! I can’t believe beating Oxford at Wembley was nine years ago! Remember that first Wembley trip like it was yesterday!

Imagine a list from 2001 to 2017. Would look very sparse
A few last minute escapes, Gillingham at home (actually twice) as there was Ricoh return and the Murphy hattrick. Probably Crewe home and away, Barnsley when Cole played, last game at HR, first game at Ricoh, Stockport away on the opening day. The time when SISU took over (yes you read that right) cup games against Boro and Chelsea.

Just a few off the top of my head, wasn't all bad :)

Cup shocks against Blackburn and Utd should be in there too, but yeah defo not as many

Cup games mainly provided the joy. I think with the ownership sucking the life out the club there was never as good atmosphere at home which had a big effect. Last game at HR would probs be the best in that time.

On the day of the Wolves FA Cup game I had to do a Speed Awareness Course, which tempered my enthusiasm slightly. It literally finished bang on KO time!

..at which point you ran out to the car park, jumped in the car and sped off in a squeal of rubber and a cloud of tyre smoke to try and get there ASAP.

It's a bugger you know you get flagged by a mobile camera at 32 in a 30 so you take the course, then a month later along the same stretch of rd you're caught again this time doing 33 and you get the financial penalty again plus the hit too your insurance, three times in total one 30 yrs before, you live and learn , our not as the case maybe.🤔
