Strikers need service, of which he had absolutely zero of today. Nothing at all, nothing in behind, no decent balls into the box, nothing into his feet in the box. Nothing

Moore who is pony 95% of the time and hadn’t actually scored at home for them until today. Had plenty of service for 90 mins.
He’s not going to get any balls is he if he’s just standing still. No runs at all. Anything that went in to him come off him like a pinball machine. He’s just not up for a battle when you need him. Play offs against Sunderland he was a disgrace

What relevance does the Sunderland game have to tonight?

But you’re right he must be rubbish. Can’t hit a barn door!.. oh wait

Sums it up perfectly.

When he's bad, he's very bad. Yet scores tons.

Yeah agreed

If he had hold up play he would be on of the best and playing for top teams

Him not Simms can make it stick it seems

We need a Lukaku when managed by Conte impact

Haji should be leading the line for the USA in the summer but he won't and it's because he hasn't got the hold up play or the battle.

I know we always lark back to Gyokeres but he's struggling to score but he balances it by providing an outlet for Arsenal. We needed someone to hold the ball up and he did a very poor job of it tonight.

But we know his game isn't holding the ball up; it's just not the type of player he is. So why expect him to do that? You have to match your tactics to best utilise your players' qualities.

Wright needs intelligent players behind him to thrive. When we have Torp and Rudoni back, we will see the best of Wright again.

Absolutely spot on .
Wright needs that player just behind him to play him in and play the right pass .
Just a question though, when we are missing those players would Simms starting be a better option ? He's certainly playing well and leading the line well when given the opportunity

He would be a far better player if he used his body more.

Games like tonight are why he's a good Championship player and not in the Premier League.

Good points. When we broke forward, we ended up playing it wide amd just tossing in a cross. But that’s to be expected when Rudoni and Torp are out, even Eccles too. If that’s then case Simms had to start tonight or even BTA as CF

What, other people to do everything so he can get a tap in while he don’t break a sweat?

I’m sorry but Moore is not pony.

Just because someone hasn’t been scoring doesn’t mean he’s a poor striker. There’s more to a forward than only scoring goals, you only have to hear what all the Arsenal players are saying about Gyokeres currently who also isn’t scoring.

Moore is a handful. A painful player to play against. He will keep BOTH centre backs busy all day, he will ruff them up, he will draw them to him to allow someone else to run in behind.

Credit where credit is due man.
