Wrexham tickets (3 Viewers)

🤣🤣🤣

I’m genuinely concerned that people are struggling with the concept of putting a few hundred point threshold on it to prioritise people who’ve actually been to a game at all recently.

I'm glad someone has pointed this out as this seems to have increasingly happened over the season. I suspect that if the tickets for this game had been sold on a staggered points basis, then there would have been plenty of cases of people with enough points buying for mates who don't, which doesn't end up being any fairer. In my opinion it would also have been wrong to change the means of selling home tickets for a single game, when they haven't done so for any other games earlier in the season.
Could have got a ticket with 10 points. Just needed previous purchase record.

Anyone on lower than 1400 wont have a fucking prayer of attending an away game next season which is a shame

Agreed. I wonder if we might do something like 2500 based on tiered points then a small allocation done another way 🤷‍♂️. I’ve never had an issue with missing out on away tickets due to a them going to those who make the effort to go to every away game though. Still pick up the odd one but is what it is

I'm hoping you'll be surprised. If you can make weekday away games (all of which are on TV), you will be able to see games using your own membership.

That in itself will put you in a better position for the plum matches.

99% of matches will be saturday and sunday in the prem i believe with the rare monday

Indeed a fair approach would have been (due to there only being ~5k tickets for general sale) to introduce a points threshold and not allow season ticket holders to purchase more.
I suspect they don't have that information easily available and have no desire to create more work for themselves.

Think the season ticket points get added manually hence every season we get the 'have your season ticket points been added yet' and it seemingly taking weeks for everyone to get them.

You could pull the data to work out who had points and who to take off as season ticket holders but then how do you make a sale only available to them?

That's weekend fixtures.
There's usually about half a dozen midweek fixtures scheduled.
Assuming half those are away, then if they are relatively unattractive (Millwall and Hull hopefully), then those games will go below 1400.

I suspect that none will go to general sale, but if you've had a ST for the last 4 years, you will get the chance of a premier league awayday.

The system knows if you have a ticket to the game or not already, just limit it to one per person.

Crazy to think that the last time we were in the PL even for games like Villa you could just rock up to the ticket office whenever you liked and get one no bother.

Remember paying on the gate at places like Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea.
For next season there is both a novelty factor and the first time many fans will visit these grounds. Should we stay up this may ease off the second season

The ticketing system has your season ticket purchase on the history iirc. I bought a season ticket to donate (I live abroad) a couple of times in the last few years and it's on my history... they did remove the points though 🤣 .

You're right though, any time a points threshold is introduced there is a bit of a scramble because people realise they're missing things and that must generate load on the ticket office - but we have had multiple "big games" in the last few years where points thresholds were a blocker - and therefore the userbase is probably in pretty good shape.

I know it's work but also the club have been improving operations a lot - this sale was about as careless as it could be - a small number of tickets in high demand released without any prior warning or communication, during working hours with no prioritisation in place.

I was the beneficiary of that, but feel for others who missed out.

We should just do surge pricing next year. First ticket £30, last ticket £3000

My neighbour is an Everton fan. He says only had 3 , Saturday 3pm kick offs all season and will have 5 Monday night games. He lives in Oxfordshire so the re-arranged times really bugger him up.
