Fuck off.

I’m running London Marathon that day. So means I 100% miss the game and puts my friends and family who were coming to watch in a predicament too.

Soz I didn’t forward plan us getting moved when I signed up to run for charity last October.
Fair play. You may never get the chance again. Unbelievable event.

Most of us knew that game would be on TV. I dont understand why anyone booked anything for that weekend without confirmation and is now complaining its been moved. Its shit of course but i cant be sympathetic about it.
Really?! You need to keep a whole weekend clear because sky might change the date of a game to a Friday or a Sunday.

I guess some people are less busy but there is no way I could keep a whole weekend clear of plans just incase a game changes.

People should be able to plan their lives, work, parties, holidays etc knowing when events they’ve paid for are happening.

Got some bad news for you about next season if we go up

It's annoying for those who can't make it but it was pretty obvious this was going to be moved to the Sunday as it's likely to be the trophy lift. It's our biggest game in 25 years so made sure there was nothing in the diary and booked the Friday and Monday off work just in case.

Honestly if people are that bothered about surely just change logistics. It's can't think of much else I'd be doing to be honest. 9 years ago for the Checkatrade final my brother was supposed to be going on football tour and instead of catching a direct flight there with the team, the only other option to be at the final and make the tour was to make 3 separate flights zigzagging over Europe. Yes it's ridiculously annoying for those that are supposed to be doing something else on the Sunday, but we knew it was likely going to be moved and if it matters that much to you (and only you can decide that) then you'll make it work
Spot on. It’s the wife’s birthday the day of the Sheff Wednesday game so had booked a weekend in Krakow Friday - Monday around Christmas time, but realisation hit on the long drive back from Swansea that may be the day we get promotion sealed so have also booked separate flights & accommodation Sunday - Wednesday as there is no way I’m missing being in the stadium when it happens.

I dont think it was obvious months ago when most people arranged more fixed things. Admittedly Sunday is probably better than Friday or Saturday nights in terms of plans clashing but the remains.

Even just away from social life, I have to plan my work diary about 6 months in advance and I’m sure comedians aren’t the only ones.

The same event you paid for that said games are subject to change when you purchased it? EFL said when all games would be confirmed at the start of the season.

Still have a sneaking feeling that the most important game will be the one that they clinch it and I believe that will be God willing Blackburn or possibly Portsmouth. If it’s either of those games then the Pompey home game will be a huge celebration. If all the Wrexham game becomes is a staged SKY inspired trophy lift at the end then I might just skip that and save my money for the real celebration in the City with 300,000 on the streets , probably on the bank holiday 🤷‍♂️

Agreed. I’ve moved the flights so I can come the game.

If you want to be there, you will be.

Quite aware, I’m saying they need to do more to stop it.

Premier league is harder because it’s determined by teams getting through in Europe etc so I do get that but the Wrexham example is shocking 3 weeks before.

Fine with them spreading games out over a weekend too btw if it’s about money for tv but it should be done well in advance and fixed. They need to lift the 3pm ban so they’re not forced to move a game that becomes more desirable based on league developments if it hadn’t already been chosen.

Got family members from further afield who haven’t been for a few years asking me to get them tickets.
