So many anti-Wright posts he was the leading goal scorer before the international break, still second in the league behind BTA was was also pulled. Most of the assists have come from MvE this season, we're not giving service, it's hard to blame the striker when we still scored twice away from home! This is a poor defensive performance, 2 goals should be enough. Second game in a row we were far too open at the back, Lampard needs to shore us up.

Difficult night. It had to happen at some point, honestly i'm glad the defeat is out of the way, and i don't mind it came tonight as i'm hoping they will hate it, have a rocket up their ass and respond well against Sheff on Tuesday.

With the 3 changes to the back line and how it's been obvious we miss Rudoni and Torp, i felt this was coming tonight.
A tough evening for Wright and BTA, i thought when Torp and Simms came on they made a bigger impact.
Tats' work rate right till the end was admirable, MOTM for me.

I thought Sheaf should've walked for the intentional trip on EMC on the counter attack, the ref waved play on but didn't come back to it. He was inconsistent throughout and it was a foul on Tats before their 3rd.
You have to give credit to Wrexham though.

Positives: we are still top of the league thanks to our great start and we can use this to take into the next run.
We looked better when we made changes and hopefully our key players will be back and starting next week.

How on earth did the lino not see Sakamoto dragged down before their third?
Because they've been told to let more go, which is good, but sometimes they're trying so hard to let the game flow that they miss blatant fouls. It's not the first time I've seen it this season, but it's the first time it's cost us.

Don’t think you can book for stopping an attack if you play on.

you do you play then given the other senior midfielders weren't fit to start and the other option is a kid with a handful of minutes?
Play the kid who is actually a midfielder. Whats the point in having him around the squad if he wont trust him. Might as well have sent him out on loan.

The only positive one is he might put wright up for sale in January.

Yeah look at all those chances Wright missed. Catch a grip, he didn't play well, but who did? That team was set-up wrong, Wrexham began to dominate midfield, with just Tats and Grimes coming out with credit. Credit to Moore, took his chances.
To be fair to Lampard injuries hit hard, but odd putting Allen, Grimes and BTA in midfield away, from the start - leaves us short.
KKH and the Woolf get game time to hopefully get match fit. Move on.

Thought one of their goals was offside. Wrexham deserved it though. Missed Bobby Thomas aggression. Wright did one of his ' not quite at it' games. Thought Saka's effort was immense, and Grimes was quality. Not many players like Keiffer Moore to contend with, luckily. We have big players to come back, but.....Sheff Utd now becomes a massive game. Fans and players need to be up for it. P.S. Is Kitching suspended for the next games? Hoping not.

Tats the only one to show much tonight, hopefully the last we hear about him not being able to play away from the CBS.

Rest all pretty meh. KKH a downgrade on MVE but to be fair that's a pretty high bar.

Woolfenden looked out of his depth but hopefully that was a result of not having played much and only having 1 of our regular back 4 alongside him.

We could all see what was coming at half time, really needed Lampard to get to work but we looked even worse in the second half.

Having said that we'd have all said you were mental if you'd say we'd be going into November with only one loss. Not sure there's many sides that can loose 3 of their back 4 and have players like Torp and Rudoni out and not be significantly weakened. Might persuade King to get the cheque book out in January.

Important thing now is how they react. Hopefully we have players back for midweek and back to winning ways.

It’s not the goals. He can’t hold the ball up, he’s reacting second to everything, He’s lazy, he offside because he’s lazy. He doesn’t close down, looses 90% of aerial battles. Simms deserves to be starting over him.

Exactly. We had a totally different back four and it just didn’t look the tight unit it usually does. You swap one out and we’re probably fine, three and it’s a struggle. Lampard left us too light in midfield and forwards just didn’t turn up
Spot on. Hindsight I know. But 5 at the back and 2 up top probably a better option tonight.

Wright is really really missing Rudoni and Torp behind him. BTA and EMC focus too much on themselves IMO Allen/Eccles haven’t got that ability to thread a ball through.

I think that, even though we kept winning until tonight, we haven't been at our best since the Blackburn game.

I'm not too disappointed by the fact that the longest unbeaten run out of 92 League clubs has finally come to an end but I am disappointed by the manner of it. We have a run of tough games ahead, so we need to get back to our best as quickly as we can otherwise it could all start to go wrong.
