Even weirder than the bin bag boys.

Both as bad as each other. Both begging for international tourists and then having a pop at them for not caring enough!

Could go one of two ways this. Parkinson gives them a rocket up the arse and they come out really up for it, or we score early and the fans get on their backs early doors.

He can do what he wants, but the dinosaur tactics are predictable and we have to just make sure we’re prepared for them. We came unstuck against that quite often last season.

Reading it on the way to work. Unbelievable stuff.

"You as an American can say "So What?". It just shows how little you have in common with North Walians. And that's fine, I wouldn't be able to get as riled up for some rival basketball game. But get ****ed if you're telling Wrexham fans how to feel after that. This rivalry runs much deeper than football. Much deeper than just a game. The day Wrexham fans can shrug that performance off against Cardiff and say "We'll get ya next time buddy" will be a cold day in hell."
In fairness, these newer fans would have never experienced the intensity of the rivalries with Chester, Cardiff and Swansea. They don't get the geography and history of their newly adopted club. The fan culture in the USA is v different too and the closest thing their have to the intensity of rivalries in the UK is their college football teams.

Even then, their rivalries are more Liverpool v Everton (i.e. friendlier affairs) than Blackburn and Burnley (two towns that hate each other without knowing why).

I'm glad our fanbase hasn't been mobbed like that. For the most part, our 'growth' has been pulling in locals who used to support the likes of Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and so on. I see a lot of people on social media who are 'diehard' Cov fans who at school, were 'diehards' for Prem teams.

What do you mean newer fans? I can guarantee you 99% in that stadium have supported Wrexham and Cardiff for years.

In the stadium... The poster on their forum based in Houston obviously wasn't one of those fans. For context, they have 1.5m followers on IG so have plenty of tourist fans/followers out there.

Edit: there's an embarrassing amount of Americans that don't realise that Britain is comprised of 4 distinct nationalities. They certainly won't get why Chester and Wrexham have a fierce rivalry or indeed amongst other Welsh cities.

Just had a look through their forum and they aren't happy with 'Parky', some saying his times coming to an end, Broadhead apparently is unhappy had a row with Parkinson an wants out, a poster said Moore spent more time adjusting his headband then playing 😂.

Not as easy as they thought it would be (like brum fans) both teams just presumed they would be the top boys, both set of fans gone from nailed on promotion to being happy with a midtable finish, all ain't well at Netflix City and Disney FC.

On Friday we need another fast start and do the damage early, bang 2-3 in and then control the game, they ain't too good at home from what I read

Find it funny that people obsessed with Wrexham and how much they dislike them, then say they are annoyed by the notion that their fans say they are a scalp for some teams

😂😂😂

Every game in the championship is tough and think we will miss MVE but do what we've been doing this season and we should have enough to beat these.Score a few early and it could be a long night for Rob and Ryan.

Out the two, Wrexham fans are the less obnoxious but brum fans on another level mate
I don't really give it much thought. I'm in my 40s. I ain't gonna start hating entire fanbases because of social media and showbiz.

I wanna win Friday. I don't want Brum or Wrexham to go up cos money already dominates in this country. Brum are worse and more of a threat than Wrexham imo

Also if cov got bought by a Hollywood icon or saudis etc I imagine there would be lots of hypocrisy on here from the posters constantly posting about about these teams.

Only this season about 75% of our matches have been an absolute walk in the park.

Not even that, we've pulled in people who always considered themselves fans of the club but weren't quite passionate enough to be supporters when we were playing in League 2.

I know loads of people from school who were big Cov fans who just became disenfranchised.

If we became the Saudi state sponsored club I’d stop supporting it.

I think a convincing win for us will get Parkinson the boot myself

He is an unbelievable lower league manager, but always felt Championship a step too far for him - He has obviously deserved a shot at it for the job he has done there but they have underwhelmed this season and I think their owners might fancy a bigger name if they continue to do so

We just need to win, keep the unbeaten run going and keep the positive momentum rolling, go out and put goals past them and keep widening the gap from others mate.

I ain't arsed about their Hollywood connections just arsed about us doing well, they can keep it I'm extremely happy with how we're run and how we're doing

In that scenario it would stop representing the city I was born and grew up in and start representing a repressive oil state. It wouldn’t represent Coventry anymore.
You don't think Newcastle united represent people of Newcastle anymore at all?

Crazy imo. By all means be unhappy and protest etc but not supporting cov anymore because of owners ain't an option for me. Is it any different tho those who wanted AFC Coventry as they hated sisu? Owners are temporary

Might be Wrexham fan in Houston screenshotting your post as we speak lol

Oh! Just wondered that was all. If you have a petrol or diesel suggest you buy a bike and ditch the car then
I don’t drive.

I don’t think they do anymore, no. No more than PSG represent Paris, they’re the Qatar state club. I don’t agree with my club becoming a state run entity that’s there to do political whitewashing for regimes guilty of human rights abuses. This is a little different to not liking a hedge fund who mismanages the club.

It's no doubt sports washing but not sure what benefit stopping supporting them will do. It's not gonna make them leave and it's not gonna end human rights issues. Only hurts those that stop watching their club.

Anyway debate for another time. (Maybe next year when we're in prem and investors come sniffing..)

It is a debate for another time, and I expect I’d be in a very small minority. It wouldn’t be about expecting anything to change either, but it would just reflect how I feel.

I'm going for 2-1 win or 1-1 draw. Think it will be tight

Alot depends on if torp can play and how KKH does for a full 90

KKH will be fine. He was POTS for a Champ club last season, no issues.

I think we'll do another 3-1 win. I think it'll be similar to the Watford game to be honest.

KKH may have been pots for Preston but we have only seen a few cameos from him really. Hard to be in form like that.

He isn't as good as mve right now so think it's fair to wonder how we might do down that right hand side . Hopefully he is a threat to them all night long
