I’d like stability, and I think him staying gives us that - him leaving is rolling the dice, and we have seen how badly that can go. I’ll take a limited budget if it doesn’t open up the possibility of us doing a Leicester.

I recall Doug saying "I'm a trader" when he purchased the Club so he's actually achieved what he set out to do.Hes in a very strong position if he decides to sell and take a handsome profit... it's been a win for him, and a win for the Club and supporters.
The problem he will have is that he's loving it now!!!.
Hopefully he'll remain but get some serious investment into the club as well.

Doesn’t sound like he’s going anywhere after talking about his ambitions.

And why would he picked up a club without a stadium, a training ground falling apart with the brightest spark being the manager and team.

And transformed us into a premier league club.
