Now it looks like Collins is soon to be announced. What do we still need?

So far:
Simms
Collins
Sakamoto
DaSilva

Needed:
3x CB
1x RWB?
1x CAM
2x ST?

3 CBs
1 RWB
1 ST

Would be the absolute minimum, but I think we also probably need 1 more ST on top of that, and maybe a CM too. RWB depends on whether Burroughs is seen as good enough to be back-up. I was pretty impressed with him last season.

I think we can start the season with 1 more striker , a RWB and 3 CBs

That's what I'd like to see as a minimum before Leicester, I imagine we will use our 5 loan quota
Frustrating if we use our quota to fill out those 5 spots. Would hope they could be permenants and the loans could be used as and when quality becomes available.

Need 3 CBs and 1 RWB anothet striker and long term Hamer or Kelly replacement, latibeaudiere can play either rwb or CB so can fill in for both as can Wes Harding we were linked with.

Looking at the squad as it stands we need x1 rwb, x3 centre halves and x2 forwards. Maybe x1 AM. Still a lot of work to do but unlike some I’m not panicking yet. Would rather get the right players in which takes time. I’m sure lots of activity is happening behind the scenes

I’d take say sacrificing a second signing at RWB to push the boat out and keep Gus

think Burroughs could more than hold his own as the second choice, sakamoto can clearly play there too

McNally Kitching and a right/central defensive loan would be perfect, with bidwell covering left

With the sakamoto and potentially swansea signing, seems MR is signing players with flexibility who can play multiple positions

Sakamoto, Burroughs and Eccles can all play there. I expect it to be Sakamoto and maybe one other.
Whilst they can play there, we need a specialist RWB. Sakamoto was described as a creative attacking midfielder, suspect he's been bought to playing in the attacking midfielder slot (part of me wonders if we might get players who can maybe be deployed as wingers too). Assume Latibeaudiere may be one with him playing that position last year.

New keeper all but done, Moore will leave and I expect Wilson to be backup again.
We need 3/4 CB's, Fadz should only be a bit part this year and I don't think Bidwell is tall enough.
Sakamoto will be first choice RWB with Burroughs cover
Dasilva will be first choice LWB with Bidwell cover
Midfield is fine if we keep Gus
Another striker for sure

I'm not sure Bidwell & Godden will stay if they don't think they will play regularly (which they wont) so will need to replace if they are allowed to leave.

Loans:
Think we will again get two CB loans
maybe a LWB loan as I don't think Jake will stay
A young premier league striker

Wilson will not be back up.
Fadz will not be a bit part unless he struggles with injury.
Bidwell being short doesn’t matter
I think tatsu will play midfield mainly

da Silva RWB
Bidwell LWB (unless he’s sold)
4 midfield will be Hamer, Sheaf, Allen and Tatsu I reckon.

2 x CB (Perm)
1 x CB (Loan)
1 x RWB (Perm)
1 x RWB (Loan)
1 x ST (Perm)
1 x ST (Loan)

With Bidwell, 4 x CBs feels like enough for now. Total would be four permanent, three loans. Takes us to 10 signings this window. Feels enough. Still a lot of work to get done in a few weeks.

As it stands, need Defenders in ASAP otherwise an ancient Fadz is going to have to be mega fit. Some good defenders still available so still time, just be funny to see what the defence is against FGR on Tuesday.

No, I mean what’s peoples thoughts on the starting midfield as it stands.

I thought Da Silva was a RWB but can play LWB. Although Tatsu is versatile I thought MR commented he’s mainly an attacking midfielder. Online sources suggests he is a winger too.
We’ve got plenty of options for midfield especially when Palmer and COH are fit too.
1 more perm striker and a young loan and then just CBS we need.

I assume Moore is moving on so that leaves Collins to compete with Wilson

Personally feel we need another CM.
