Agreed that we were a bit poor; Knill did his homework and they looked to exploit our narrowness & use Nunez on the counter, whilst closing down our build-up play. Whilst that worked, we still should have buried them with the chances we had. Freddys' sitter was an apalling miss, he kinda did an airshot then stood on the ball! Summed up his performance-not a solitary positive contribution in his time on the pitch. Am I right in saying he's never scored as a sub for us? I used to be a big supporter of his, but after that showing don't want to see him pull on a City shirt ever again. So very lazy. "My Big Fat Gypsy Footballer", anyone? Maybe we can get a tv deal with ITV3 or someone..
Whilst King was generally great and took his goal superbly, the 2 sitters he missed were much easier chances than his goal. It was almost like he had too much time. Very uncharacteristic, but if he'd put one of them away we'd have all felt so much better.
Thought Clarke had another very good game, Bell was even more effective in the hole than LCM, McIndoe showed appetite, Baker needed too much time & didn't help Hussey, Clingan getting more effective each match, Keogh quality at CB.
A word of caution: I love the passing style, and it's clearly something we're still learning. But lads, lets try and play it in their half rather than just outside our penalty box! I was having kittens. We'll concede stupidly sooner or later playing like that. One Cranie pass over an encraoching forward in particular brought back memories of Paul Williams against Notts F!!!
