I have to say I think it#s far from plain.

7/2/13:

With tongue firmly in cheek, he joked: “If Manchester United came calling... but they have a manager,” adding, “I have been here for five months, so we’re getting dangerously close to the 11th-month average for Coventry managers.

At that point torch SISU had not pulled out in the deal they agreed. So all would be rosy

Until the club (any club, or pretty much anything actually) is put up for sale then how do we know who is interested?

Fair point, but its no secret the club have been looking for investment for a while and none has been forthcoming...although we only know that from the club, and lets not get onto that debate.................................

IMO Grendel is being realistic.
Like it or not, SISU were the only ones to step up to the mark to save us from oblivion. The state of the club is such (& not anywhere near all their fault) that it is nowhere near as attractive a purchase, as it currently stands, that even Pompey is!
So the is currently IMO only two options...SISU or oblivion.
I also think the changing rules will be a levelling process over the next 3-5yrs & SISU are trying to set us up to be in the best position for then given our current limitations (ie low income/no stadium rights etc).
Don't knock them...we are who we are, where we are - accept it!

No I'm sorry, but you and your alter ego Torch go through this whole forum 'Liking' each others posts like a pair of forbidden lovers, it goes on for days, you're weird. I know its valentines day but come on. All I want is one day for our historic and once proud club to be owned and run for the benefit of that said club and not to used as a pawn to further high flying out of town hedge fund bastards financial aspirations. I accept that its not all SISU's fault but almost everything they do makes the club a laughing stock and means our best assets will continually be the target of almost any club with a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps to chuck at them.

'Unsustainable form'........you know that's the one with a court writ hanging over them and no chance of gaining their own stadium under their current untrusted owners.
