Anyone else have a small inclination that we may at some point see ACL take ownership of CCFC. Certainly not pulling any punches with pay up or sell up and get out of Coventry!

Profits from ACL have been seemingly reinvested thus far- makes me wonder what level of football team these would support.....

It's only common practice if the individual received compensation which he did not.

He was highly critical of the board at Barnsley when he resigned.

Please explain the benefit of such an agreement and why it was signed. Why was one not signed at Barnsley?

Please support this claim with evidence as this is very in standard business practice.

But you're asking me to buy into the illusion of CCFC being a "people's club".
WE like to think of it as such but it isn't really, is it?
We don't even know who its major shareholders are, where their interests lie.
What could be more shadowy than that??

I accept that if rent was lower we might be more viable to sell but as we cannot be certain of the current owners intentions you are asking me to believe in the never never. Sorry, I'm not going to buy that.
ACL have reduced the rent (massively) and Sisu should thank them and try and run the club and stop playing silly buggers.

Do you know what the politicians true intentions are!?

We are a club of the people of Coventry, and hopefully beyond, ACL aren't, they only care about profit, we'll see after they pay off the mortgage etc. you think they'll I've the stadium back when its debts/mortagage are paid? They'll be lining their pockets with profits of our stadium, I bet the taxpayer will see no benefits.

We don't know their true intentions, no, but that works both ways, they could be good or bad, we don't know, we can only guess, which isn't fact so, it lacks validity.

I don't trust the council, nor ACL, I don't trust SiSU either, but I want my club to win this struggle.

Didn't one if the people who posted on here that we are going to loose Robins to Huddersfield. They got laughed off the forum them they said it is over an agreement that has been reached in the rent. That Joy has now rejected.

Well who ever said that Robins is now at Huddersfield.
It has also come out that SISU specifically all three directors agreed to a deal. On the 29th Jan.

Now they are trying to renege on that deal.

Anyone think a deal was done they told MR. He was happy. As it affected who he could bring in.

Joy then changed the goal posts the deal was no longer done.

MR found out SISU's version.

Off he goes as the rent deal would affect him bringing in players

Like you I want the club to win through as I know it gives pleasure...... and because there are many hidden benefits which reflect well on the city and community as a whole.
But it is because I know and understand that that I do not have any faith in our current owners.
Time after time they have not embraced opportunities to turn this club around by making heart over head decisions.
Players and managers have looked for assurances and left when they have found none.
And simply that is what running a "people's club" as you put it is all about.
To think of it any other way is to miss the point.....completely.
It is for this reason I know that Sisu, whoever they are, are in the wrong game.
The sooner they leave the building the better.

You're a conspiracy theorist*, totally detached from facts and reality.

*I don't mean to give the credit.

What examples?

The conspiracy of keeping Thorn so we could utilise his scouting skills then ditch him quickly? Not been proved and it's complete BS.

And are replaced by who? There was little interest (make of Hoffman what you will) last season, and even less with a lower league status thrown in.

I have no faith in the "hoffman" hot air but neither do I believe that there aren't people interested.
Of course there'll always be some nutter who can believe in turning a FC around....it happens all the time.

It is common practice to sign some form of anti competitive agreement which then prevents you from stealing customers or establishing a similar business within an agreed catchment area.

However the only way such an agreement would be signed would be if compensation was paid to the outgoing employer on the understanding they did not make any comments about his departure.

If this was the case he would literally say nothing as we saw with boothroyd.

The fact he has directly answered questions regarding his departure actually is evidence itself than no such agreement was signed.

It is most amusing people like you and Don were waiting for him to speak? Why if he signed an agreement which is common practice as he would just say "no comment".

He didn't sign one here and he didn't sign one at Barnsley. You along with ash down have already inferred he has been paid for his silence,

That is potentially libellous so unless you have facts I'd keep these thoughts to yourself.

Can you for once let your prejudice stop and try and look objectively or is intelligent thought totally beyond you!

As I've just pointed out on another thread, there's the added factor of FFP-our spending power is directly controlled by our turnover, not necessarily the spending power of our hedge fund. The only way we can therefore increase spending power is through access to the stadium revenues (or land a whopping great sponsorship deal).

Since then MR has joined Huddersfield.

Since then an announcement has been made that All three SISU directors agreed a deal on January 29th with ACL.

Since then SISU have tried to renege on that deal.

Why in the statement did they say all three directors agreed as oppose to we agreed a deal with SISU.

That suggests one is now a problem.

Since then MR has said since he met with the board they could not give him the assurances he wanted.

Shove your conspiracy comments up your arse and do some reading.

Hope you revise better than this!

Have fisher and the board confirmed they agreed the contract? Then you may have a point. I assume you are not just taking ACL's statement as fact are you?

Yes ACL would be liable to getting sued if they slandered people by making official statements that are lies.

So I am trusting their statement.

Don, unless I've missed something, the only thing we've heard from the club is that they're disapointed that he's gone and that they did everything they could to keep him. He could have been asking about all sorts of assurances. He hinted at the fact it was to do with Stadium ownership. ACL have come out and said stuff about a potential new ground and given their version of events. Surely if you've learnt anything from this, there's different sides to every story.

The only reason peeople believe SISU to be this gigantic force of evil is due to the gross neglegence of last season. Please don't just let KD warp your thoughts forever.

This isn't business Grendel, this is Sky Blues Talk. You appear to be asking a poster to have access to CCFC files or MR's personal correspondence? Are you ok?

Confidentiality agreements are fairly common, it has to be said.

I don't, it's just you gave a sarcastic remark to Torchy whilst totally ignoring his point. There is no other interest so wanting SISU gone is futile until that changes.
