The subject of the pitch and a new synthetic fibre being laid is fantastic news if it allows both CCFC and Wasps to benefit from a decent playing surface.

Good on them in my opinion. I doubt very much that anyone from Joy's ivory tower shall be making a contribution however!

Please get your facts straight!

CCFC are not responsible for the maintainence of the pitch, ACL were but I guess now that Wasps own 100% it's they who will have to ensure it's up to scratch.

Weren't we renting shitfields?! SISU seemed to pay for improvements there a week before deciding we were going back to the Ricoh!

Pretty certain there was a press release from TF saying that CCFC had contributed to the pitch improvements at Sixfields for this season

As for the Ricoh yes ACL were responsible for the pitch maintenance from the time that CCFC shipped out to Sixfields and still are.

However up to the end of the 2012/13 season CCFC were responsible for pitch maintenance........ I assume we all remember the state of the pitch in March & April 2013?

Please refer to the focal point of my comment you absolute turd! I.e they contributed at Shitfields why is it beyond them to do so at the Ricoh? And it was also a hypothetical question so take your cock out of Fishers fat arse for one second in your life

Sisu already pay the rent and as long as they keep doing that then that is all that is required.

I thought the words on the Wasps Web site were very positive. Fair play to them they are at least being conciliatory and considerate towards us CCFC fans. (Wonder when Joy and Tim will?)

Unless they drop the rent to £0 and give us the money we are responsible for generating on a matchday then there is nothing to pat them on the back for here. They are doing it to protect the pitch for themselves and for a bit of PR saying it's also about the football club.

The only way I can see it working is if they sell half of ACL to the club, which isn't going to happen.

By the look of it, building a new stadium isn't going to happen either.

Its amazing how some 'positive' words have everyone all optimistic isnt it? We will always play 2nd fiddle to Wasps on every decision on the ground, even the comment around signage (we will display CCFC with Wasps....where we can') is clearly saying something.

Sorry I am still expecting this nightmare to end but sadly this is reality. They will consult with CCFC about changes but lets face it we will have little to no say in any decisions. This is no longer our home and I am not sure i would be able to go back when the seats change, it just wouldnt be the same.

It's in Wasps interest to keep Sisu/CCFC happy.
But based on Sisus history they will not plan to be dependent on them.

Christ, this whole situation is so depressing. Having to be at the mercy of some no-mark rugby club, absolute bullshit.

How can they be dependant on CCFC anyway? The rent paid is a tiny percentage of what they will need and want.

Not sure why the terse response. From my perspective I really really wanted CCFC to own the RICOH and I am gutted we don't. We clearly did not see the value in the RICOH or ACL business. Richardson and Wasps did see some value. Richardson was both prepared and capable on making a deal that all parties were able to conclude. Even at the 11th hour we had the chance to take a share, but we were not convinced so we put lots of conditions on our offer.

We have got to face it BSB, Wasps were prepared to invest in something WE were not prepared to invest in. That's the difference. Hating them and being vitriolic towards them seems a little perverse.

I am dismayed and bewildered why we felt that a 3 million was too much. But we obviously have a model that is different to Richardson. Which of us is correct I guess time will tell.

Have I got it wrong??............................I thought the League chairmen voted against the use of "artificial" pitches, ie 3G or 4G stuff, in L1 &2.

If Wasps intend to re-lay the pitch at the end of this season, won't that have some bearing on whether or not we can stay at the Ricoh/JLR Arena, using a non-standard pitch.

It is not an artificial pitch. It is the same as Swansea & Wembly and a number of major arenas around the UK & the world. It may pay you to read the content of the articles and issues before you comment on them.

He got the deal done because CCC were desperate and refused to sell to SISU. Of course if we were offered ownership for the same price we'd have taken it-fact is the council opted to help relocate a club 60/70 miles when it had voiced opposition to us moving 30 just months prior. You say we weren't prepared to invest in buying the Ricoh-in actuality we did, just in a very roundabout way. Funding losses at Northampton to force ACL into distress worked, you can't dispute that. The only problem is there was a chairman out there with even more scant regard for his fanbase than SISU.

It may be perverse to hate on Wasps and aim snide comments in their direction. But that is simply how I feel and no amount of appeasement from them makes the situation any better, unless they hand over things which they just won't.

Same here, I don't blame Wasps fault for the position we are in. They are just opportunists who benefited from our mess, doesn't mean I have to polite and welcoming towards them. I wish them all worst in the future.

I think it is in Wasps interest to have a 'okay' relationship with CCFC initially but lets face it as soon as their fan base grows we will be disposable. Of course as you quite rightly state we don't know what our wonderful owners will do, chances are they will shoot themselves in the foot by trying to play hardball again with no bargaining power.
