I was thinking, I'd love that job. But then I realised you'd have to squeeze in next to Mike Ashley every day.

@Grendel not one of those trying to take the piss, just trying to gauge your opinion as I find you quite informative. I've seen you say a few times that you think this is to buy time for a sale of Wasps to go through. This seems really unlikely to me based on the current state of Rugby Union in this country. Do you really think they will find a buyer in the next 28 days?

If he did, how would he get round the issue of owing 35m to bondholders and however much more he/wasps owe to creditors

I was just confirming in case they thought the lease would be handed to CCFC.

The prospectus does say that court action may/ would be required given the terms of the head lease. I would imagine that is why the council is spending tax payers money to seek legal advice. On the bondholders forum someone suggest not to worry about it as courts are generally sympathetic to mortgage holders (as the bondholders are) in such cases,

Having been banned from Onceawasp, it was amusing to see the following

“SBSam was also correct that the recent signs were more significant than we hoped they were.”

Some of them are finally smelling the coffeee.

no one really seems to know the wording isn’t clear on the point of administration being triggered

Yeah I know, I was just asking if the Bondholders were now worried the lease would be given to CCFC. (I understand why they might think it will go to the council).

Oh, how the Mighty have fallen. Richardson, December 2014:

He said that made the decision to takeover Ricoh firm ACL an easy one - even if it did equate to roughly £20million after he paid ACL’s partners £2.77m each for their shares and took over a £14.4m loan from Coventry City Council

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Mr Richardson said: "I’m sorry, I don’t mean to sound like Mr President but we've now got the biggest rugby club-owned facility in Europe.

"A 32,000-seater stadium, an indoor facility that can take 12,000 people standing, a hotel, a casino.

"When we looked at the year ending 2013, ACL made an operating profit in excess of £2m. In our ownership that money would be channelled into Wasps’ coffers. That’s the significance of this."

He added: “One of the most important things was a 365-day income for the club. The business needed more than my paying-in money every year.

"With the Ricoh Arena we’re now in a position to strive to be the best of the best."

Mr Richardson increased his multi-million fortune when he sold 66 per cent of online insurance company 123.ie to Royal Sun Alliance for €35million four years ago.

But despite his business success he has maintained a low profile, leading to rumours over his motives for the Ricoh takeover.

"I’ve never thought of this as something I might make profit from.

"We’ve got the chance to build something great here, making Wasps the best club in Europe, and I’m really looking forwards to standing back and seeing what we’ve got in five or seven years."

In their first game at the Ricoh on Sunday,

Used to fish there in the mid 80s when at school, double red maggot and a golf ball size of groundbait every 5 minutes

So disingenuous to suggest Wasps had no choice but to move here. They had at least two options in London, but chose to move to the Midlands of their own accord. Their hand wasn't forced as has been suggested in the past.

I just hope they go tits up.
I've met a few Cov based Wasps fans out here (strangely no London based ones).
Always it's, we are great and want to help you, but your owners blah blah blah.
I was actually having a drink with one before we got talking about sports, i just had to walk off (and leave my drink) as he was so full of Wasps are great, we are lucky to have them here. Even his Mrs told him to shut up.

Fuck Wasps and their Cov based fans too.

Long live SISU, oh ok too much lmao

Financial turmoil and discontent at Wasps, pull the other one – Andy Goode

If you believe a certain newspaper this week, Wasps are in “financial turmoil” and there could be an “exodus” of their leading stars but nothing could be further from the truth.

Yep, like Nick says, anyone criticising Wasps is jealous, they're in great financial shape etc. etc

As I say, he took the time a while ago to go back & delete them all

Andy Goode

Good to see this massive city fan is out in force with some amazing replies like "you are wrong" to people who say anything about Wasps. Having a look at his track record he doesn't seem to have got many things right...

That article from Dellagio is even funnier

The forum regulars trust Lozza - I said that’s what he’s wife said once - that’s a lack of respect of someone with mental health issues which is why he spent £10 grand on Coke and hookers
