Well as the season has started....

Warwickshire v Durham MCCU - Cricket - BBC Sport

Tough year ahead and need to get out of Div 2 at the first time of asking. Don’t think they will personally.

Don’t expect too much in the white ball either.

I think they will get out first time when you add Hain and Patel to that lot they will be way to strong for most of the sides, if bell and trott can fire I would expect some massive first innings scores of 550+ .

They should go well in the 20/20 with the big house back.

104 for 2, the bears will get 300 odd and then tear through them with the ball that is a good attack all it’s missing is Hannon-Dolby :emoji_kissing_smiling_eyes:

Looking at the forecast today may be the only days play of the 3 days.

Could do with a bit more prep before the first county match v Sussex a week on Friday!

there's a lot of young talent to play around Trott & Bell. Likes of Hain, Lamb, Sibley, Hose & Rhodes - a couple of those pay off and could go well. Add in Stone if he stays fit and it's a decent pace attack.
Some good kids in and around as well.

That looks a strong side today and a lot more quality youth in it

I don’t think it’ll be the last time this season that opening pairing fall cheaply and it’ll be down to Trott and Bell to rebuild within the first half an hour!

usual early green seamers and poor scores across the leagues today.

Would have taken that score at 2 down.

Bowlers showing good resistance with the bat as per the norm for the Bears.

Shame a Day was lost and a chunk of tomorrow looking at forecast.

Stone tearing it up. Could be a huge boost if he can stay fit. Up there in the 90s. Apparently did well in Australia over winter and impressed selectors in net sessions in Perth.

Looks sharp Sussex with a few loose shots

Love the fourth wicket the batsman had no idea what to do with that.

He has six by the close only problem will be form like that will alert the selectors if he is in the 90’s he is way sharper than the Currans

do think there's an obsession with finding a leftie - could put Sam Curran and even Garton ahead of him.
Plus there's a couple of injured players that'll come back into consideration like Roland-Jones, Helm

They are obsessed with both of the currans, I don’t think there is much point in Roland jones a poor mans Chris Woakes. Stone looks like he could have the pace that is required for the top end

Wiese 98* off 88 and all of a sudden Sussex are in the lead!

Luckily now for the Bears it’s the last day. These pair get a 120+ lead they may fancy their chances rolling the Bears over in a session and a half!

A nice draw to start I hope Rhodes improves his bowling is very average and I missed most of his innings

Can’t help but think he’ll be a very average signing and probably keep his place longer than he should as he can bowl a few overs!

Short trip to Northants on Friday for the next 4 dayer, who are coming off the back of a defeat at Lords v Middlesex who are my favourites for the title in div 2 this season.

(I think Surrey will win the Championship)

He can turn his arm over not sure of the quality there are league bowlers better than him so hopefully his batting will improve.

Once morkel is at Surrey they will do well depending what happens to the currans.

Doc 2 Middlesex champions bears runners up

FFS, its be one ball before they've finished messing around.
Those devising the competition believe a 100-ball 'countdown' would attract new audiences and be popular with broadcasters.
Where's this massive new audience that won't watch 120 ball games but will be up for 100 ball games?

I can’t see why it’s not 10 overs of 10 then, I think in one of the evening leagues it’s 8 ball overs.

Next it will be bowling at one end only I have played in a game where this used to happen
