Admittedly I only read the first 10 or so posts ‘but the opening post aside the rest
Seemed pretty much on board with us going up.
As you’re doing on this thread, The OP is maybe a little to concerned about what
other clubs are doing.
Why not just savour our moment ‘it’s not like they come along very often:emoji_relaxed:

Yes, most think we rightly deserved to go up but feel Rotherham have been lucky. They are hurting at the moment so leave them to lick their wounds. They are going through the same as us 3 years ago with shit owners who have now totally pissed off all of their fans. Unless you have lived up there you have no idea how all consuming the football team is to the city. They are totally united in their passion. In Coventry I’d be surprised if 50% were passionate about the team.

Cov telegraph inspired thread title based on what I’ve just read on their forum. Most say we deserve it. Thank fuck we won’t have to see links to it anymore either.

Seriously makes us look classless in this situation if we go around disparaging other clubs and ex-players. It’s embarrassing to be honest.

We should just be proud, very proud to be CCFC supporters today - I know most of us are and for very good reason.

Just had a look at their forum after the op comments; all seems fair there. Vast majority congratulating us and saying we deserve the promotion. Their beef is with Rotherham (who they don’t think would have finished second...if season completed) or Wycombe (who they and let’s face it most of us feel were in free fall). They acknowledge that if they in playoffs they would have wanted the season ended but also recognise they just weren’t good enough over last few games to probably have made the cut if the season played out.
All in all decent fans who are desperate for the success of their team but tonight are not begrudging us our moment.

Just read the whole 4 pages and yep majority of them seem ok just the few morons they have.
Heard there was a stabbing tonight in broadgate. Hope its not true or involving the celebrations. Anyone know
Don’t know about a stabbing but I’ve seen a video on FB with loads of the revellers
(and I’m talking hundreds) clearing up all the mess ‘thought that was brilliant.

It all looks pretty reasonable to be fair to them. Ferryhill mackem sounds like a bit of a div mind, plenty of people on here were like that.
Sunderland need a proper reset like relegation to league 2 was for us.

time to stop our obsession with them - we can’t do much about theirs with us but it should help being in different divisions. The vast majority of replies on that thread are reasonable, almost none have a problem with us going up and a large proportion point out that they got promoted in 1990 after Swindon (who beat them in the play off final) were not allowed into the top flight due to financial doping.

And for what it’s worth I can see Darragh McAnthony’s point too.

Thats what I don’t get. Whenever I read these links we tend to have very little abuse aimed at us

They were very complimentary about us to be fair, they seem to have a new team to gripe (Wycombe)
