I think a lot will hinge on if MVE goes for decent money. Otherwise I think you’re right.

Since Lampard has arrived he’s spent £7m+ on 2 players already.

If MVE goes and you get Vik and Hamer sell one that gets your a potential £20m transfer kitty. Some fringe players go like Lati, BTA, Simms etc that gets you another £5-7m maybe.

Imagine 7-8 years ago saying that our manager would spend £7-8m on two players and we'd potentially have a transfer kitty of £20m?!

You'd have been sectioned!

Doug will downplay any monies coming our way from any deals and he should. Keep doing our business on the quiet and hope the deals drop is the best way. Seem like him nor FL are willing to talk to the media yet, so id assume lots going on.

Well it was estimated to be 3.4 million. Maybe your figure with add ones. The truth is no one knows as most of Coventry's transfers are 'undisclosed'.

Yeah it was 4.25 euros my mistake.

Fab's back to begging on behalf of Vik's agent.

Come on Sporting ramp up the fee (but still sell)

2 million in salary is hardly going to sort out the transfer fee. I doubt Arsenal and Sporting are arguing over 2m.

It is just more journalistic daily bollocks chasing clickbait.

It'll be €2m euro per year over the course of his contract which will probably be agreed as 5 years.

If it comes to pass makes you wonder about these clubs not taking a punt on Gyokeres two years ago….?

But only fans take notice and get sucked in by such nonsense. The club's involved will be speaking to the agent and player directly. Not relying on media clickbait

Can't see us letting him go for that low a figure. If finances allowed we would be much better off keeping him for another season. We would easily get the 6m in another year. And by then we could be in the Prem and have one less player to replace.

Not in England, no. Most have a reported fee (like with KKH) but very rarely directly released by the clubs.

We went through a period of time with SISU when we didn’t even get reported fee. It was just straight blank ‘undisclosed’ only

More due to the level we were at I think. Once we hit the Championship again there were generally reported fees.

It is common practice now for fees to be undisclosed. With some of the bigger clubs it is the media reporting guesstimates.

Load of rubbish that surely.

Arsenal want to buy him for £60 million but Sporting want the full 75. The two million is completely irrelevant in this case.

Honestly surprised though he's not gone to Juve or somewhere else in Europe.

Want him to succeed in the prem but think he may struggle a bit in an arsenal side which do struggle with strikers over recent years.

It depends on what we believe.

£60m is nearly €70m. It's rumoured he is willing to take £2m a year less in wages for 5 years for it to happen. If this is true it adds over another €15m.

Then you have it where he is said to be refusing to play for Sporting again. If true that could help the deal go through.

Could all be shite from his agent though

I believe very little of it and think most people probably think the same.

He's a cracking player and worth everything, think maybe Arsenal are slightly worried he could be another Nunez and struggle massively.

Most signings are a gamble. A £70m or whatever it ends up as is a bigger gamble than we're used to.

Every time I read Rio Ferdinand's assessment that he's watched Viktor play three times and in his view he isn't good enough, the more it reminds me how shit Ferdinand's opinion is on this.

Especially when you consider that in 1 of his 3 viewings, Vik scored a hatrick at Man City.

That Fabrizio seems like a right tit. Comes across that most of his insider knowledge is mainly what agents feed him for their clients
