If you're including Arsenal, Man U and Spurs as top sides then I can't.
All 3 crying out for a striker and in my opinion he'd improve all 3 signicantly.
Why Arsenal never signed one last season is a mystery to me.
Spurs and Man Utd are midtable, at best!

It is perhaps worth noting 35% of his goals in 2024-25 came from penalties, as he successfully converted all 19 of his spot-kicks.

That's a LOT of penalties in a season.

Transfermarkt have him down for 20 penalty goals across all competitions. 12 of them were in the league.

Sporting actually had 13 penalties in the league in 34 games.

We got 4 in the league in 46 games.

Can’t see King being bothered about what a poxy tabloid radio have reported. He’ll know what’s right, as will Sporting.

Think the only people bothered by it are the Cov fans who like to scream for attention.

Would much rather him go Arsenal, Man Utd players are under far too much scrutiny and I want the best for him

Why do we really care where he ends up now? Personally he is showing his true colours. Any other similar minded player with no association to the club would be getting rightly slagged off for his actions. Other than the sell on fee i have little interest in what happens to him

The player that didn't want the best for us as he tried to drive the price down when he left.

I'd be happy if he does well after his next move. But to me I'm more interested in how much he is sold for than where he goes.

He could have demanded transfers the previous summer then again in January, he didn’t then upheld his side of the bargain.

Demanded a transfer to who?

The bar for honourable conduct seems comically low here.
He presumably had interest from elsewhere. I mean he’s a professional footballer, the bar for ‘honourable’ conduct genuinely is quite low.

He didn’t string anyone along like Hamer nor did he piss off on a free to a club in the same league like COH. So it is a bit easier for the average fan to see him differently.

I’m not going to relitigate the Hamer and O’Hare nonsense. All three players held out for the best deal on the table and played well for us in the meantime. Only difference with Vik is that he supposedly agitated for King to take less money for him than we eventually got, and then rather oddly shared memes claiming we didn’t take enough afterwards.

By some distance he’s a better player than either of them and brought in the most money to boot. Hamer had no deal on the table until Sander Berge was sold, to be clear.

Better player, better professional.

If I was his agent or him my move would be PSG, similarly structured league where there’s a couple good sides then the rest are pony and you win all the trophies and join the defending UCL champions, Im surprised he hasnt moved early for the CWC
The rest of the teams produce brilliant players , why France along with Spain will be the favourites for the EC .

I think the attachment to him comes from him being 90% of the our fan base's "best ever player" (or potentially that), to have played for the club and moved on. The most expensive former player. The best goalscorer on the european stage. Potentially and it's interesting to people.

I want him to go on and win every thing he can, personally. Cov will always be mentioned when speaking about his career and that keeps us in the news. And that's why I'm interested in where he goes next. I doubt many are emotional about it, that's hyberbole. It's interesting because we are a massive part of his journey and he deserves a shot at proving just how good he is.

And don't mistake his agents actions for his.

He is ultimately responsible for his agents actions. if he disagreed he would come out and say yet he is making social media posts basically backing him and calling the Sporting director a liar. I cant wait til he is sold, we get our sell on fee, and then never have to speak of him again personally.

It’s almost like some forget that agents work on the instructions of their employer and aren’t holding them hostage.

There are so many similarities between Gyokeres leaving us for Sporting and now leaving Sporting.

A lot of agent talk and stuff being put out into the media.

The sooner Gyokeres moves onto a club who is willing to pay whatever Sporting want, so we can benefit is what matters most now to me.
