Is there anything more this club can do to piss off local supporters? Why should work shy lazy students be given 500 free tickets, we all know they are not going to return again after their freebie. FFS, get a grip SISU and fuck off now!

Just made the mistake of reading some off the comments about this on the CT Facebook page. Seems we prefer 20K empty seats than the possibility of getting some more people behind the team.

Indeed, that's how the Thai owners ended up buying Leicester (the son went to Uni there).

Exactly this.
Of the 25 students in my class, I think seven go to watch Norwich regularly, most season ticket holders. None are from Norwich or been to Norwich before Uni, most are from abroad. Two for instance are from Australia who spend every matchday watching Norwich home and away, the five others just go home games. Those from overseas had never heard of Norwich FC before coming here but now absolutely love the club now spending a lot of money on them, and will most likely be supporters and customers for life now.

Its a huge market Cov should try and tap into, I don't now the numbers at the two Uni's in Coventry but there is about 18000 at the UEA who all could be potential customers and as I say Norwich FC have tapped very successfully into my Uni and they feel the benefit many times over

What a load of rubbish. In a University class of 25 students, over 25% can not only afford to watch Championship football on a regular basis, but choose to do so as well? Lies.

You really haven't a clue about maintenance loans / grants and bursaries do you. I've seen what some of them are getting and it makes your eyes water, one of them is getting £ 6900 over the 8 months of semesters.
You clearly haven't been near to higher education have you.
Their rent on their accommodation is dirt cheap in Norwich ,so they have lots of money to spare and then on top they do bar work in the local ale houses and paid jobs on campus.
if you think they cant afford a £450 season ticket on that you really are as thick as I think you are.

Only foreigners on my course are Romanian and Ghanaian, they don't look minted but I'll sell the club to them anyway.

As for work shy, fuck you I'm up at 6 tomorrow to get kids in, then work, then spend my Friday night reading a far from fascinating book about Big Data. That's basically my life for the next year.

Spoken like someone whose last brush with an educational institution was at 16.

Schmee, I'm defending them, as I go to Uni at the UEA in Norwich, and if you see my posts I too hate them/us being labelled work shy and lazy, they are the absolute opposite.
Its the tit above my post I was answering to questioning if they could afford to go and watch Norwich play. As you know we work incredibly hard both at Uni and when we go home, most then also do bar work etc so they can easily afford it if they want to.

Don't get me wrong, I could be done my 3 year undergrad in 2 years I think if we worked at it like you do full time hours.

And of course it's easier life than working full time in a serious job.

Not going to claim it was horrible or harder than working, it was the best three years of my life, but I think being bitter calling all students lazy etc isn't fair

£6900 over the course of a University year is nothing. Realistically you can expect to pay £3-4k for accommodation, then you have to factor in a weekly shop, travel expenses, socialising etc. All of which leave very little for the relatively expensive hobby of following a football team home and away.

I went to University for 2 years and couldn't even afford to watch the local non-league team play more than once every couple of months. Took advantage of every grant/loan available. For you to claim over 25% of your class, each from different areas of the UK and overseas, follow Norwich regularly is simply absurd. Retract your statement, save yourself further embarrassment and we can both move on.

Are you fucking serious, are you a expert on rental property in Norwich, do you know how much they pay, how much they earn doing paid work on campus and bar work all day Sunday and three nights a week on top of that, plus allowances from their families.. It looks like you are nothing but a fucking know it all. Why the fuck would I make up that seven people out of my class go and watch Norwich regularly ,my life isn't as sad as yours .
I can see why you only lasted two years you complete muppet. What sort of fucking degree did you do that lasted two years ?
Now fuck off and get back to your daily grind
Did you work on the side when you did your two years ?
And again a season ticket that some have costs not a lot, peanuts to a son of a rich Arab/Chinese, they just email them for more money and it's with them by return, they do it all the time.
As I said the majority are overseas students at the UEA it's like walking in central Beijing or Riyadh sometimes, most are from rich families who give them allowances on top.
Cov's is nothing like Norwich in terms where students come from, Schmee said his class is full of Eastern Europeans who haven't a penny to rub together it's very different in Norwich, no but your a fucking expert aren't you, you massive tit.

Yes Hobo, some come from very rich families but fuckface can't believe that some can afford a £450 season ticket.
His Uni they were all poor so every Uni in the UK is also full of poor students from poor backgrounds.
UEA is a top 15 Uni and has a huge portion of Chinese and middle Eastern students.
Does he think students who go to Oxford and Cambridge can not afford a season ticket at their local league club.Fucking stupidity, but no if it happens at his Uni it happens at every Uni in the UK, they are all poor.
I've never known such a unintelligent argument. Fucking moron

Well aren't your students extremely fortunate to have such a literate, well-mannered lecturer.

I'm not just talking from personal experience, I know plenty of people that have gone off to Universities across the country and the very least of their worries, even if interested in football, is finding the money to follow the local team home and away. I guess your University is just fortunate to be full of rich foreign students who happen to have a passion for local sports teams they probably hadn't heard of prior to moving there.

Like I said, apologise for talking out of your arse and we can move on little man.

Yawn, and he keeps going on, because he now knows a few people who went to other Uni's that could not afford diddly squat , it still can't happen that overseas students in Norwich can't possibly afford a season ticket. I did say 'most' of the seven ,so four or more is ' most' , which I stand by 100%, the others go regularly .

Yes I go to an affluent Uni , that's not my fault is it you twat, and who said I was a lecturer, where the hell did you get that from or was it one of your attempts at being funny.

What was you 2 year degree in, you haven't answered that. Never heard of a two year degree.
Theses students liked football before they came here you know, they just wanted to see football here, can't you see or accept that, but now you've expanded your story to now knowing other students that went to other Unis it's proof that four people out of 25 can't afford season tickets at a Championship club, its absolute fucking madness.

Anyway as other posters have put other posts up with other examples of rich kids affording this and that, I'll leave you alone now , wee little boy, as you clearly are making yourselve look fucking stupid.
I'll await your apology , then we can move on.
