It's a shame we don't play till Wednesday as it gives others a chance to apply pressure on our game

However if they shit the bed it could make it a free hit kinda game on the flip side with less pressure

After Tuesday we play again twice before Boro do. Potentially a chance to go 6 points ahead of them before they go to Birmingham

Our “blip” coincided with a few other teams run of the season. Which still wasn’t as good as our good spell. Their run will more than likely slow down like ours did. Even our poor spell we were in and around top half in form (I think, can’t be arsed to check)
I’m quietly confident now. Obviously that’s because the table looks beautiful tonight.

Yea, the beginning of our blip was Ok relatively speaking because IIRC we still actually managed to extend or lead by a few points. It's the post Christmas bit where we started to feel it.

I'm sure there was a hang over from the injuries/flu also, Oxford performance was fine if a bit limp wristed at the end. The way the game planned out actually gave me confidence for the Boro fixture. Frank coming in tho has taken things up a notch. Exactly what we needed.

We've changed our strategy somewhat since Frank's arrival. We don't bomb forward as much and protect what we've got. It had to happen, even though Dasilva does make me very nervous at times.

He's a decent poster tbh, our "GoTo" stat guy (every board has at least one)
He'll generally work out a basic formula, then add variables to the patterns as he goes along to make it more accurate.

Obviously anything can happen, but it's a well thought out analysis.

Millwall too but at home i think you will beat them

As do we.

A lot of us have said for a while the home games in the run in are massive because we do on paper have some very tricky away games, made to feel somewhat harder due to all being on TV.

Oxford at home was not the best start and we have Leicester tomorrow. These two felt very important because Ipswich had two away games. We need to win tomorrow, otherwise the nerves will kick in.

Some of the idiots are already laid in puddle of wee and expecting the worse

Depends, if they are out of the Top 6 picture on the last day then you would half expect them to be on the beach and it is quite an appetising fixture

Tickets will be as rare as rocking horse shite if that game is meaningful as it is one of the smaller away allocations

Lesta unlike Oxford are actually pretty dangerous going forward, but also unlike Oxford are defensively hopeless. You really should be winning that one comfortably.

All of Boro, Ipswich, Millwall and Hull have to play both Leicester and Birmingham. we have neither and they'll be tough games.

Then there's the head to head games:

Millwall and Ipswich also have to face all 3 of the other rivals.
Hull have us, Millwall and Ipswich
Boro have Millwall and Ipswich
We only have Hull

A week or so back that Ipswich v Boro game looked pivotal, we're not only clear now, but with our goal difference another week ticked off and looking at who has to play who, it's 100% ours to lose.

Come on City! PUSB

Im expecting both teams to score. Hopefully we get ahead early, we need a bit of a reaction. Longer its 0-0 more the nerves set in.

Swear, its crazy how much things change in this league week to week.

It’s going to swerve around quite a bit more till it’s all done. Your problems are up top, Lesta’s are at the back.

The resistible force against the movable object

I must admit, I looked at Boro's bench on Saturday and thought it was a side that is scarily lacking some depth

Unsure if there is an injury crisis or they have genuinely left themself a bit short but they look light beyond their starting 11

Ironically enough, if Oxford played nothing but the top 4 all season and got the same results as they have from their 7 of their 8 games played so far, they'd be 9 points and +10 GD better off. Don't know why the hell they don't try to low block every single side in this league tbh (aside from the hapless Sheff Wed games and maybe a six-pointer or two) as they're pretty good at it!
They'd finish on approx. 53 points, with a GD of ZERO and not have the slightest worries about relegation.

We "should" beat Leicester. My worry with them is the new manager bounce of course, and the fact that the first thing Rowett is likely to try and do is toughen them up at the back.

I watched part of their game against Stoke, they were absolutely dire in the first half, but should have won comfortably in the second. Against us it was the other way round.

The hapless Luke Thomas is the weakest link in a very weak defence. I’d expect Whittaker to get a lot of joy down that side.

Fingers crossed because I don't think my blood pressure, finger nails and all round mental wellbeing could handle a last day shootout

The title might well come down to the last day of the season though, so potential for us to lift the trophy that day

In an ideal world, we are up and have lifted the trophy at home to Wrexham and it is just a party day out for us

Our squad is on the thin side. We do have good cover options but have also been hit with a number of key injuries.

We are managing both Fry and Mcgree' return and Alfie Jones is still out.

In attack, its usually been Strelec on the bench along with Sene and now Sarmiento and Castledine are part of the bench when all fit.

The issue is still the goalscoring, We seem to go through phases of scoring for fun and spreading the goals out across the team but when they are not at it we don't have that number 9 who scuffs one in, or is in the right place for a tap in.
