Let's be honest, if he's not on the bench ahead of baka on Saturday then I think something has happened behind the scenes with Robins because there is no logical reason to put baka in ahead of him

I think he could be the perfect partner for Godden if were a goal down with 20 to go, good option to have to switch to a 442 and pull a CM for him.

This Allen issue is worrying, the fact that the injury is inoperable is a big problem.

As far as I know nothing too serious - it was just a case of Max not following instructions against Bolton and Robins thinking the fans were blaming him
Robins has made this admission about Coventry City star Biamou

Think we're going to have to call U23 games off if this carries on!
I bet MR is glad the Bury break is coming up to allow one or two to recover.

Several games later it appears max is still paying for not understanding a role very well.. Strange

When you say Robins thinking the fans were blaming him do you mean the fans were blaming Robins or Biamou?

If it's the latter then it may make some sense as he could argue he was protecting him but if it was, as I suspect, the former that's seems a bit petty and unfair on Max. If the fans are questioning MR's decision on where to play Max it's hardly Max's fault.

He was on the bench Saturday Evo mate he will be ahead of Baka if it’s out of the 2 of them for a place on the bench,Godden has shown them the level needed he’s the man they need to dislodge personally can’t see it unless we went 2 up front max will be back up while Godden is here which I hope is for a very long time.

A bid come in for max last week we turned it down if a bid comes for Baka he’s history I think.

I don't think either are anywhere near the level of godden but I'm hoping max would be Infront of baka now.

A loan to league 2 could be an idea to see if it gets him going

The article suggests that fans thought Robins had instructed Max to stay out wide
Max will keep his head down and work for another chance

The thing is, I am not sure what Bakayoko's redeeming factor is, he doesn't have something or do anything which you would consider his main strength. He scored a couple of goals at the back end of last season and I thought that maybe he would kick on this season but hasn't happened so far.
Biamou can score out of nothing, set up others, I think he deserves a stint on the bench with the opportunity of game time later on in games.

I'm sure he will. But it still makes it sound petty that MR has left Max out for a few games because of what fan's thought the instructions were. If he'd done it two or three times then you can understand it but after doing it once just seems harsh.

max has scored every under 23’s game he’s played you can see he’s a level above Baka looks an under 23’s player watching that today

I think the thing with Baka is he's just not hungry enough to get a goal, he seems happy to just bob along, at least Max wants to get on the pitch and have an impact, neither of them will dislodge Godden but of the 2 Max has to be next on line surely.

On recent showings i would say Bremang is pushing ahead of Baka as well.

Its nice that there are several u23 players all making progress at the same time, Williams, Drysdale, Bapaga, Eccles and Bremang all looking like they can transition to the first team and Wakefield is regaining his sharpness with the group as well so can hopefully kick on. Hopefully this new lad Newton can be a part of the group too. Would be fantastic to think we could develop a whole 11 through to the first team (obviously i realise they won't all play in the first team at the same time....).

It would be good to see Bremang go out on loan perhaps to a National League team and get a bit of regular competitive football, he's still only 19 and a lot to learn.

I was impressed with the young left back, plenty of energy and got forward to support Bapara, also Drysdale looks class and talked the youngster through the game.

Did he head it from 30 yards? Grendel would of course immediately self combust on that news.

Agreed. As I said before we can't expect Godden to compete on his own against two 6'4 centre backs in every game - however good he is. I see Max playing a role in certain games/situations in providing some key support up front and creating space for Godden to create havoc.
