Finishes 1-0. Liked some of the anticipation from the defence, esp Pask and the midfield looked tidy but seemed to me they'd been told to play through Jones as much as possible.

Better players will always demand the ball mate

I thought JJ had a better 2nd half - seemed to grow into the game, plus Cardiff let him have more time on the ball. Will be good for his confidence Thumbs up for Newton, Max, Pask and thought Young did quite well. only thumbs down for one player, and I won't name him in case he's reading the thread.

Clearly very rusty after months of no game time, but did more than kasta did. Chased down and forced an error from the keeper to win a throw, won a few headers. A few times he and Biamou ran into the same space and he didn't execute the pull back well. Disappointed he wasn't following in on Jones' shot that was cleared off the line. Needs to stay here for the rest of the season, train and play in that U23's to make a proper decision. Certainly not after 30 mins as a sub after playing no games for months.

Yep, but players don't tend to give it them when they're closely marked which the rest of the midfield did on a few occasions.

Remember Tommy Hutch saying that it took him a while to persuade the other players to pass to him even if he was closely marked!

Hope Walsh doesn’t pass to Mcfazdean again in our own 6 yard box
