We're basically playing 5-2-3 with Maddison, Thomas and Miller rotating as the 3 up top.

Different standard of football and that but it's a lot better than watching O'Brien, Fleck and Thomas all play deep roles in the 5-3-2

FT 2-0 win

Good win, the U21s played a 5-2-3 system which looked a lot better than the 5-3-2 albeit at a different level of football.

The club should setup a system like QPR have for these games. Can't be that hard, just sign up on youtube and it was only 1 camera feed.

I think Maddison has a chance of starting on Saturday. Especially after the last few games where we've been severely lacking up front.

maddison is something special isn't he? imagine if we'd been a stable championship club with all these kids coming through. could have had christie, wilson, bigirimana, willis and then him in the same side.

FT 2-0 again

Do more of the U21 and U18 deserve chances in the first team?

Today's U21s game vs Forest ended 2-0 to Forest. We have a very young side out due to the JPT game Wednesday.

Less said about the current match the better,

8-0 down to Sheffield United and according to twitter we swapped our goalkeeper with one of our outfield players.

It was 7-0. I've no idea who played but with the first team game tonight and the FA Youth Cup game on Wednesday it must have been a very weakened side.

I see Darren Murray is talking up Lee Burge performance today, planning for him to be number 1 at least in the short term it seems.

By talking up, is that caught the ball?

"Lee Burge was excellent. Every time he has come in and played the Under-21s, he's been excellent. I made him captain today and he relished with the responsibility.

"I think he led by example. I was really happy with his performance, he made about two or three great saves, and I'll definitely be reporting that back to the gaffer."

He had better be playing well, he's the only keeper we've got. Wonder what odds I can get on Oggy making an appearance. The rate things are going it wouldn't be a shock if they registered him as a player.

"Darren Murray has praised the second-half performance" they're all bloody at it, probably thought we were terrific as well!
