Bit more background on the Bilal Sayoud signing:

http://fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2016/03/fc-client-bilal-sayoud-signs-for-coventry/

Think this signing signals the end for Kyle Spence

Is Spence not a right sided player?

Left sided, think he can play both though.

I will take you word for it as I have never seem him play must be a reasonable player as he did seem to piss the club about for ages yet they have still given him a chance.

Possibly. I know Forest and Huddersfield recruit at U18/U21 level from there.

Not sure on the U21s score yet, as it was behind closed doors with no updates. Will try and find out.

An U17 side drew 1-1 with Forest Green today. These games are supposed to give the U18s not playing regularly more game time and some schoolboys who are impressing the opportunity to step up.

Next time they have a game behind closed doors could you go up in a hot air balloon to keep an eye on the score

U21s beat Nike Academy 3-2. Bilal Sayoud with a brace and Devon Kelly-Evans netting the other.

Good to see Bilal scoring a brace against his old team.

Bit of research I did:

325 consecutive games with a youth product in the match day squad, a streak which lasts for 6 years, 2 months and 23 days.

The last game one wasn't was in January 2010 when we beat Barnsley 3-1 at home.

The U18s face 2nd placed Sheffield United tomorrow away from home and the U21s face Harry Kewell's Watford U21s at the Ricoh on Monday (2pm).

U20 players who haven't got a club. They scout players worldwide, bring them to the academy and the end goal is to get them signed by a professional club. All funded by Nike and I think they train at St George's too.

As in they sponsor it or did they set the whole thing up?

That makes sense STP. One of my clients now I think about it is a subsidiary of the other major sports kitwear manufacturer and they run programmes with US Collegiate Soccer teams. The idea is that they sponsor these teams to come over to the UK to train with coaches from clubs sponsored by the same supplier, take in some games etc and if these players then make it, they stick with them as boot suppliers throughout their careers.

They also use the facilities at SGP.

The whole of that U21 team should start against Gillingham.

The 1st team have failed this season and not interested.

At least the fans will get behind youth for the remaining games to see who could push for next season. Great opportunity to blood them now and test the waters.

The U18s were beaten 3-0 at Sheffield United on Saturday.

The U21s are in action against Harry Kewell's Watford U21s today at the Ricoh. Entry is free and kick off is at 2pm.

Suspect Sayoud will play. Gadzhev and Willis could get some valuable minutes too as they look to regain match fitness

Boring match so far, no real chances but harries almost scored with a brilliant volley

Bulgarian hasn't done much doesn't seem in the fleck mould from what I have seen

Sayoud has had a talking too for a studs up but seems to be linking up well with spence who has been our best player probably

Nice to see a few first teamers here in fleck and Willis

Is Sayoud wing back or full back today?

Dion Kelly Evans playing number 10 instead of Lamerias who is out wide right, dion doing quite well however, with lamerias not really doing much, and still lightweight against these lot

Do we necessarily want somebody in the Fleck mould? The model of playing him as a deep midfielder must be discredited by 3 seasons where its brought limited success. Not that it's the only reason mind you.

Well it was how he was described, haven't seen him get on ball much and dictate play, but he seems a bit better defensively compared to fleck
