But you can and we should be able to afford a small fee, especially if we want to get out of this division. Oops that would screw SISU's bargaining position though, wouldn't it?

Yes but we should be able to buy a striker who looks quite good with both leon Clarke and CW not replaced. We got a combined 3-4m.

This higdon bloke looks good and probably only 200-250k.

On that basis Adam barton's midfield genius should have gained us promotion two seasons ago.

Yes that is clearly what he said, all frees are good players.

For a moment there I though you had completely missed the point.

All I said was, generally you get what you pay for in life. Some frees will be shit and will some eastwoods. That's life.

Especially with the assistance of Manset and Slager!

Coventry City: Marcus Tudgay says
move was a 'no-brainer'

Marcus Tudgay
says he is excited by the set-up at Coventry City and his decision to sign on at
the League One club was a "no-brainer".

The 31-year-old former Nottingham Forest striker agreed a one-year deal
after spending pre-season with Steven Pressley's Sky Blues
.

"I've been with them for two weeks and there are quality players in the
team," Tudgay said.

"I'm impressed and it was a no-brainer me coming here, I'm happy."

Tudgay's three-year spell with Forest came to an end this summer and, after
playing only three times in a two-month loan at Charlton at the end of last
season, he is looking forward to the chance of playing regular first-team
football under boss Steven Pressley.

"I just want to crack on now, get my fitness higher and help the club,"
Tudgay added to BBC Coventry and
Warwickshire.

"I've bought into what the gaffer wants and I'm happy with it, coming here
was something I wanted."

The Sky Blues open their League One campaign with a trip to Bradford on
Saturday, 9 August before playing their first "home" game of the season in
Northampton against Cardiff in the League Cup four days later.

Coventry are playing at the Cobblers' Sixfields Stadium after leaving the Ricoh
Arena in a row over rent with the stadium's owners.

BBC Coventry and Warwickshire report that the Football League are due to make
an announcement on the situation early next month with the hope that potential
talks over returning the club to Coventry could follow.

"I've heard we can hopefully get back there," Tudgay said.

"It would be a massive plus, it would lift the boys, fans and the whole
city."

The McQuiod thing confuses me. Is it part of the Wilson deal? If so, if it falls through do we get someone else, or some more money, or?

Money doesn't buy success although it can sometimes help .

Camerarderi & team spirit are far more important as Germany have recently proved.

No stars but brilliant togetherness team organisation & understanding.

No stars?????? The German national team is full of stars playing their trade in the top clubs in Europe. Yes they're spirit and how hard they work together is impressive but let's be honest they are class players.

Is Tudgay thick or something "no brainer" the club is in complete disarray, smallest crowds in league 1, never far from a points deduction & possibly fighting relegation,I can only guess he's desperate & no other club wants him.

Tudgay also followed the lead of his manager and fellow new signings Danny Swanson and Jim O'Brien in insisting the club would be better off back at the Ricoh Arena.

“I’ve heard we can hopefully get back there,” Tudgay said.

“It would be a massive plus, it would lift the boys, fans and the whole city.”

I hope our new signings aren't being led to believe we'll be back at the Ricoh in the near future. If they are and it doesn't happen that could backfire and leave with a load of pissed off players who don't want to be here.
