The problem with the trust is they seem to see any criticism of CCC/wasps as an endorsement of sisu.
They've just elected someone to the board who spends his time on Twitter abusing supporters who don't agree with him from an anonymous account.
They're finished unfortunately and I think that's as much down to the unique position we're in with so many takes on who is at fault and what really happened at some critical point as anything else. With our fan base so fractured I'm not really sure there is any point in a fans group and if there is someone among us who can unite us they probably should be using their considerable talent to run the country.

The only thing that will unite fans is CCFC and only ever will be. Whilst you have people like David Johnson who make up reasons for boycotting, telling Robins what he can / can't talk about and saying he is done with CCFC in a big flounce then how can he unite people?

Look at the Crowd Funding thing and how that has united fans, there are thousands who won't be going to St Andrews and a lot of them will have donated as well. The only negative comments I have seen have been from the accounts you refer to that are involved with the Trust.

I really don't think the Trust give a shit about uniting fans in the slightest, they should have looked at the Leamington Group for ideas on how things should be done (in terms of organisation, the things they arrange for matches etc). Instead you have people from the Trust calling them SISU Lovers and all that shit.

I'm concerned that this is going personal - that never solves anything. It also means that, if not careful, a meeting which will give the opportunity for people to voice their opinions on the direction the Trust should be going, risks degenerating into a slanging match. That would not be helpful.

The board is as it is because nobody wants to stand, so there are no elections to be had - elections that could have led to a debate about what kind of Trust direction was wanted. That now hasn't happened.

Of course there are things the Trust could do better, of course it should be more professional (note, professional doesn't then mean it becomes an angry Trust) and also more dynamic, more swift to react to things.

but given nobody wants to stand to shake it up, it is where it is.

In the meantime, we all fight among ourselves and one thing's true, it wasn't any of us who chose to make our club the shitshow it is!

So how about we focus on how to convey what message, rather than spend our time going for individuals? Currently you'd have to be a mentalist to stand for the board, and that's not necessarily because of who's on it as well, but because of the masses of shit you get from other people. Criticism is absolutely warranted, but there are ways and means. Hell, even Grendel is going for process above personality for once!

All well and good m8. But the point is the Trust (via their own agenda) alienated themselves from SISU and the fans. They have shown little willingness to admit they were wrong and/or change direction...or indeed reach out to its members for their opinion.

Why? One can only assume they don’t want to. A further assumption would be because the core agenda remains the same.

If the majority of fans don’t think the Trust represents them, who within that majority would want to step into that situation?

Reminds me of the conversation I had on here with CJ. He didn't believe me when I said that the Trust were actively asking away fans to boycott Sixfields.

There's no consistency.

For example CJ will be on here talking to people on here saying 1 thing while somebody else is logged into their Twitter account doing the complete opposite.

It is with great reluctance that today the Sky Blue Trust accepted the resignation of their secretary, Roger Ellis.

Roger joined the Trust six years ago and has performed his secretarial, organisational and wider public duties with Supporters Direct for example, in exemplary fashion.

Roger has been dealing with very pressing family medical issues for some time as well as the heavy work load required from the Trust over recent months.

Additionally the intolerable level of personal insults and insinuations he has had to suffer in recent days now makes it impossible for him to continue in his position.

Obviously personal abuse isn’t on, although that works both ways, however these sort of issues are of the trusts own making.

When an issue is raised again and again they refuse to acknowledge it or address it. If they’d been upfront about this years ago when it was first raised they wouldn’t be having issues now.

Some insults were unacceptable others were absolutely justified and he does have questions to answer on his oversight of the council

The only thing is, other people need to step up to the plate.

Its one thing to criticise, but you have to be prepared to do it yourself.

It's one of the reasons I became a referee.

A statement from the trust who have "reluctantly" accepted the resignation of Ellis.

Fucking reluctantly?!?! 99% of the fan base you say you speak for were baying for blood, but you "reluctantly" accept because of insults hes received from fans.
Turning it round on the fans again.
Fuck you sky blue trust. Fuck you. If I'd paid it, I'd be asking for my £1 back now. You useless, self serving bunch of cunts.

He also couldn’t remember if roger Ellis was the same roger Ellis as he could recall which council he led.

CJ can post something on here which everybody can believe in and get behind.

Then the complete opposite happens.

There was the example where he was asking for ideas about a meeting, I posted exactly what would happen and why it is pointless he was asking, the exact thing happened. (Everything would be ignored and shouty SISU protests would be arranged).

I heard Jodi wasn't happy with the first ACL op so second time round he undertook the surgery himself. Let's see how he gets on!

USS said it above;

If the majority of fans don’t think the Trust represents them, who within that majority would want to step into that situation?

I personally have tried to help before, for several reasons it wasn't something that was possible.

My belief now is that the Trust's view has become distorted, something I don't think can be changed over night.

It might happen with the new guy but when he has already thrown out the "Frank, Les" nonsense when asked about a poll about who feels represented I can't see it.

I think the new guy deserves a chance. If you were looking at skillsets they were lacking, and skillsets he has, he's just what they need.

So let's see.

Still, hopefully there will be an improvement.

Let’s not forget that this bloke got paid taxpayers money to cover up young vulnerable girls being sexually abused by gangs of full grown adult males. Are they shocked that city fans are disapproving of this man ‘representing’ the fans.

Seems we are doing something, indirectly if not directly. First the trust gets on board with the season ticket initiative after realising they'd placed themselves on the wrong side of that one. Now Ellis has gone. Knowl's poll might have had a big impact. Especially as they seem to treat it as a vanity project, the thought of losing all popularity seems to have made them shit themselves. I don't think it will reach as far as stopping Johnson from joining unfortunately. He's too far up his own arse as are the rest of the trust.

To be fair Nick that was one quip so he may be a bit harsh to keep holding that against him, perhaps wait and see how he performs though I'm not filled with confidence that he'll achieve anything.

My main hope is communication's his background, so if he can apply his work career to the Trust, they have a fighting chance.

But yeah, a wait and see seems fair enough. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that.

Oh no I agree, it's just that the first thing he could think to say was to make out that people must be Les or Frank because they didn't think the Trust represented them.

Let's see if he can make a change, I hope he does.
