Trust response to Tim Fisher (3 Viewers)

The trust yet again proving they are only interested in getting at TF and SISU. It's hypocritical to moan about our club moving and welcoming Wasps. So there isn't much difference between the two, both hypocritical. The other thing that I find annoying but not surprising is moaning about transparency from TF but not asking the CCC what they meant when they said the club wouldn't be harmed. It would appear they only want transparency from certain parties..

Thing is...there wouldn't be a Wasps here if Fisher hadn't spouted all that bollocks about how we weren't interested in the Ricoh as we had moved on and were building our own ground.

Arguing about whether TF should be chairman or not is distracting from the more pressing issue. The issue is having somewhere to play so the club can continue to exist. That is what everyone wants, right?

You genuinely believe that? Wasps were sniffing around beforehand? What about the bollocks spouted by Ann Lucas? Or again, are we only asking questions of one party in the dispute?

So irrespective of this statement and where it has come from..........do people really believe that Tim Fisher should be chairman of Coventry City Football Club.........because I don't !!

Who cares? He’s a periphery figure with zero influence. The fact the trust even mentions the Jimmy Hill Way as an ally shows how deranged they are. The fact they allow their secretary to remain in office shows how unsuitable they are.

The trust won't mention the council. They seem to just be alienating themselves and the sooner they get away from people like David Johnson and his mate involved with the trust with all the fake Twitter accounts designed to mislead fans the better.

Fisher is pointless being at the club, if he was to go tomorrow and boddy took over as chairman, what's realistically going to change? Id have no issue at all with him going.

Just seems like some sort of personal agenda rather than ccfc. This statement is to try and claw back some credibility by getting people angry at fisher.

The trust is purely now used as part of the media battle, nothing more.

What's David Johnson shouting for fisher to resign going to do in keeping us at the ricoh? It takes any pressure off the council and wasps.

What does the bloke making loads of Twitter accounts just to make things up and mislead fans do? It also takes any pressure off and gets people worked up with the club.

Both of those just as full of shit as fisher, all 3 can go for me.

The trust have obviously got to support whatever is best for the club, however, I also struggle to see why sisu don’t just give it a rest.

The judges judgements and comments in the past suggest SISU are more than likely going to be unsuccessful if they take it any further. I presume at one stage the thought of Wasps struggling financially would’ve been an incentive to continue the legal actions, however, if their finances are now better secured from this CVC premiership deal, it just feels like throwing good money after bad and is obviously risking a rent agreement for the club.

I mean, would any of us agree a new lease with a tenant that kept suing us and the income from the rent was probably less than the legal defence costs ?!! Im guessing not.

Sisu should indicate they would drop the case for a longer term, sensible rent deal for the club (apologies if this has been offered without my knowledge....doubt it though)

Businesses would agree new leases with a tenant all the time - yes

If Fisher resigns its a start!
Not fit for purpose.
A start for what? How does it keep us at the ricoh?

There's no communication to members to say what the plan is by calling for fisher to go? If he goes what then? (That's not saying he should stay, just what's it going to achieve and what then?)

Do you think the trust is fit for purpose? Do you think having people involved who will purposely make things up to mislead fans is fit for purpose?

On the bullshit scale, right up there with fisher himself.

One they are being sued by ? Not unless they needed the cash/benefits of the tenant remaining. If Wasps need us then fair enough

It may have escaped your attention but they agreed a deal with us already and have offered a longer deal

Wasps in terms of truth telling make sisu look like honest brokers

They lie....all the time.

All of them are at it. Sisu, council, wasps and the trust get involved with the nonsense rather than setting an example. Why?

Nobody ever said who it was that was found to be working with the councils pr company.

Instead of trying to roll with the pr war for some reason, step back and think about the club and it's fans. Represent them.

It obviously did escape my attention as I suggested it might have in my earlier post that I wasn’t aware of this (‘apologies if this has been offered without my knowledge....’). Presume this is no longer on the table though ?

The point remains the same, if they aren’t willing to proceed with the new lease because of the legal action (and don’t need the cash as much anymore - I don’t know if this is the case or not) then the balls in our/SISUs court

This thread is hilarious. Already. Can’t understand why some supporters get so upset when Fisher gets called out.
It's more pointing about people getting excited about aimless pr stuff.

Them shouting he should go is to try and get away from their own goal.

Everybody knows fisher is full of shit, it doesn't mean the trust who claim to represent fans should be. If fisher resigns then what then? Will we get to play there?

Like I said months ago, the legals will go on and all it would do is give him a couple of moral points. Nothing more.

The trust have alienated themselves, it's left to Jimmy hill way to pull their strings as the statements show.

Probably correct but it didn’t help and may well have given the Council the excuse to do a deal with Wasps (something they no doubt wanted to do due to the total breakdown in the relationship with us/SISU)

The council can and always will do what they want. Like they said, public opinion is on their side. The trust will do their best to make sure of that.

Who’s getting excited? Other than those upset that Fisher has been called out. Fisher has more than earned his criticism from every fan and every supporters group. There’s really no need to get upset by the Trusts statement from any supporter. That’s before you even go into the details of it.

They are not being sued. The council is the defendant.

Ok, to be more specific they are a party to the action so are having to incur significant legal costs. It’s semantics as the point remains the same, Wasps have indicated their terms to do a deal (whether we all agree with those terms or not), it’s now up to us.....unless Wasps get desperate for the cash or concerned about the adverse PR (I’d rather not risk it if the CVC deal has been finalised/they are more financially secure)

Why not call everyone else out? Or is it just an agenda against SISU and TF?

I know but by saying we weren’t ever going to come back to the Ricoh long term (and would build our own stadium) they strengthened the Councils public support. I’m no fan of the council by the way

Their terms this year were the same as last year? A deal got done, it's time they sorted this deal out too. Stop pointing and ranting at SISU and TF. Make sure CCFC get a deal to play at the Ricoh and then go back to the agenda against SISU. Is it that hard? What matters more, the club existing or getting one over on SISU/TF?
