I don't know what sickens me more. The way people will make attempts like this to defend the indefensible or the fact that there are Trump supporters who will happily nod along in agreement.
Some pretty horrific details about Gaetz were released in court yesterday as well. Paying and supplying drugs to an underage girl, which was already known about, but now its been revealed she was vulnerable child living in a shelter for the homeless trying to raise money for braces.

Why is that bad news?
Did you read the article? Or the memo itself? He selectively edited Donald Trump’s January 6 speech without disclosing it to the viewer in order to alter its meaning. This is apparently a resigning issue - he must go.
His role as an independent adviser to the BBC is surely untenable? I assume you think an apology would be merited at the very least.
My mistake - it turns out he’s actually French.

TBF the Telegraph isn't a state broadcaster paid for by public licence. You expect bias from many news outlets but the BBC should be totally impartial.

Impartiality is itself subjective and very difficult if not impossible to achieve to everyone's satisfaction. They showed him saying words he actually said and correctly conveyed the point of the speech/rally.
Even giving him an apology is ridiculous, but at least they aren't paying him anything because he's an upset little snowflake.

Why? Shouldn't everyone have to have the integrity to not misrepresent the facts and not mislead the public? Or is it OK if someone's bankrolling you to just do what you like?
If the BBC was funded by left leaning activists would it be have been OK for them to have gone even further in misrepresenting the speech, because it'd be privately funded rather than paid for by the public?
Apparently it’s a huge scandal when the BBC edits Trump’s speeches without disclosing it, but when an independent (lol) adviser does the same thing in a memo used to undermine the BBC’s credibility then it’s no big deal because he already left in June.
