Also, just to provide a bit of balance to those who would claim that Trump wasn't really trying to overturn the results of a free and fair democratic election...

I come bearing bad news about the one topic this board cares most about - the Thailand-Cambodia ceasefire deal

There's so many horrific things going on in the world at the moment its hard to keep track. Did we used to just live in blissful ignorance of most of it before the social media age?

Somalian pirates are back in action after 18 months of little to no trouble and the UN reports the aid system in the Sudan is on the brink of collapse with reports daily of absolutely appalling atrocities there.

On a side note when did the language change to ceasefires being paused rather than broken?

New Epstein files released.

Oh dear Donny.

An email from Epstein to Maxwell in April 2011 reads: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. Police chief. etc. im 75 % there."

In an email from 31 January 2019, Epstein denies the US president's claims that he had banished him from Mar-a-Lago, Trump's Florida estate.

"Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever," Epstein told Wolff. "Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop," he added, an apparent reference to Epstein's former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now serving a 20 year sentence for trafficking girls to Epstein.

From Starmers perspective I think he’s going to be far more worried about more revelations about his chum Mandleson

A huge number of people are all collectively covering their arses on this. They all deserve punishment proportional to what they’ve done, but Trump is near if not top of the list.

One more thing he should be doing time for, but the ‘suicide’ of Epstein and grubby deal with Maxwell will see many escape justice

Isn't that another on Trump's list? Along with India-Pakistan who are very famously great friends and allies now.

Can the BBC (and everyone else) sue him for $1bn for his 'misrepresentation of the facts'?

So we've gone from him promising to release the files to there's no files to the whole thing is a hoax to ending the government shutdown which definitely isn't being done to change the news cycle.
Their ability to create an alternative reality is quite incredible.

All of these comments on another thread rightfully disgusted by grooming gangs in the UK, with vulnerable young girls being exploited for abuse.

Yet no comment at all on the world’s ultimate grooming gang with one of its biggest customers just happening to be the sitting president. The vice president of this gang just also happened to be excused of all her crimes in exchange for clearing the aforementioned president.

Where is all the outrage? It’s a little reminiscent of those who were so concerned at anti Semitism in Birmingham but were silent when a poster was spitting truths almost straight out of Mein Kampf.

Sure there will be plenty of outrage if/when full details ever come out but there’s stuff that’s happening in our country right now and stuff that happened abroad 20-30 years ago. We can maybe do something about one and fuck all about the other. Which one should we be more upset over ?

Generally for me because the US has nothing to do with us.

I’ve got little time for US affairs. Abroad they are always self serving and feeding their domestic machine. We have zero special relationship and never had so there’s also zero influence.

Trump was elected by the US people and it’s up to them what they do.

The abuse of women of course horrendous but it’s hardly unique to the US. Some countries operate like one great big grooming gang.

I would say that regardless of when or where it happened, or whether we can do anything about it, the sitting President of the US being complicit in child sex abuse is a pretty big deal.

After your unfounded outbursts yesterday this is pretty incredible. But not surprising I guess.

Im not saying it’s not but I would expect 99% of people to be more upset/outraged about what’s going on here.

Of course. Do the us care about Mandleson and his involvement. I doubt it’s being discussed on sports forums somehow

Well yes. You've just perfectly backed up @Brighton Sky Blue 's post.

Outraged at one demographic for grooming young girls, but not fussed about another demographic doing the same thing because you have 'little time' for it and it's 'hardly unique'.

Cat's well and truly out the bag now, if it wasn't obvious already.

What cat is out of the bag?

That I’m more concerned about what happens in the uk? Have you ever commented on the vile abuse of girls in China through exploitation or in Pakistan where ten year olds are married off? If not I assume the “cats out the bag”?

I’ll have a look and see if you have

If there had been a 'meeting' between him and Guifree for some hours like its been suggested then its likely that moneys changed hands somewhere along the line in the form of hush money. It will just be a case of if anyone has the ability to trace it.
Probably not though and we all know that this is just even more fake news and any 'meeting' would never really have happened in the same way he never sent him cards or drew him pictures or anything.

I don’t think it’s surprising that a sex trafficking scandal co-ordinated by a British socialite and with connections to a senior British royal and the US president would draw widespread attention in this country.

You've changed your tune haven't you. But then you do that when it suits whatever side you want to take.
