Slightly controversial take here given this thread, but looting, burning things down, rioting, is not the right way to get your cause across.
Neither is hanging around and provoking, and attacking police horses. There are multiple videos of people punching them and shooting fireworks at them, yet somehow it seems that many of you have missed it. Like with the other incidents that don't fit your agenda.
I didn't think the 'mostly peaceful' meme would make another comeback, but it seems that some of you are so deranged by Trump that you are making it in real time and don't have the self-awareness to realise.

Peaceful protest is a right
No one has the right to attack police or security or ice officers fulfilling their role
No one has a right to smash things attack things or loot things
Where the peaceful part is difficult is one has a right to protect oneself and sometimes that requires force both ways
Think a democratic senator has come out and said it’s a mistake to defend criminality
Fundamentally though it’s a lapd thing not a federal thing
I didn't say it was the NG or the Marines.

The root cause of the trouble is ICE agents grabbing people at their places of work, or otherwise out and about in public, then denying them due process or even telling people where they’ve gone. Had they gone about things by the book, you’d see much fewer objections.
In other parts of the US they have gone to snatch people at courthouses who had just been cleared by judges. They are little more than hired goons.
